I always thought the idea of a hard deadline for a band of blink’s stature seemed a little silly. When it’s done, it’s done. It’s not like Columbia’s gonna drop them if they take an extra month or two lol

 

I’m not interworking music industry expert but I would have to think it would have been silly for blink to have released another single while Edging was still at #1 for the 10 plus weeks it was. I mean it took Paramore 4 months for This Is Why to hit #1. It was a major accomplishment for blink to have their longest charting song, why derail it?

I still think we get another new song before their first show but who knows. I’m just glad it seems like they are in a good part as a band and they are writing/recording together and taking their time to make the best album they can at this point in their careers.

 

I've just come to expect that everything is going to happen later than initially expected with this band. haha. Every member of this band has a history of predicting that something will be out like a year earlier than it actually is (or the thing never even sees the light of day at all).

But to their credit, they themselves haven't given any sort of false promises to fans this time around. Besides the initial announcement that said "New album 2023", it seems like the guys have tried to cool it on the expectations and do it at their own pace. It was a miracle that they had "EDGING" ready to go for the announcement so I should have known not to get my hopes up lol.

 

Well it did say Spring/Summer 2023... so fully expecting the last day of Summer

 

Right, that's about the only promise the band has publicly made. So yeah, fully expecting them to utilize every bit of that window lol

 

15 days until the first show. This tour is coming fast.

Wow the tour starts in two weeks, so crazy.

I'm half expecting a last minute small club show getting announced next week as a warm up, and maybe a new single the Friday before that first show.

 

Definitely a friends and family/production arena warm-up show in April

 

With Mark’s health and them not doing meet and greets, I’m not expecting any sort of small club show as a warm up. I don’t think they wanna chance it and be in close proximity to an audience just in case
