    Things have changed.

    Legacy billing.

I think to this crowd MxPx is bigger than Annberlin, also MxPx doesn’t play a ton anymore so when they do it’s a much bigger deal.

My gut says an MxPx show in Alabama is somewhat rare? Like they don't really "tour" anymore - its more just one off shows here and there. Whereas I think Anberlin has been playing out a lot recently. Plus, MxPx is kind of a legacy act that fits into this pseudo-christian festival really well. Just one man's opinion tho.

I was wondering the same thing. Hatebreed and Anberlin both have triple the amount of monthly listeners.

See you guys on Saturday. Going through some of the bands I'm not super familiar with and liking The Bronx and Foreign Hands quite a bit.

I will say, the lineup is good, but man they missed out on some bands who openly said they wanted to play that would be fairly big additions in the genre that I’m sure would command as much if not slightly more than some of the other lower tier bands they got.

Gotta be a money thing, I guess?

The Bronx are so good. Foreign Hands are great and have that 00’s metalcore sound. Members of Wristmeetrazor.

I can’t really fault them for their choices. Hardcore is huge right now. They literally snagged the biggest hardcore band in the world. On top of that, they have Hatebreed, Drain and Bane whom are huge in their own right.

I don’t even necessarily mean the heavy hitters, I just know I saw bands like God Forbid, Nora, Onward to Olympas say they would play, and they would be lower tier bands.

They've confirmed that three more bands will be announced.

Copeland maybe after Shaky Knees and the radius clause drops?

I think you really want Copeland to play! Haha

They dropped off 2021 and I can’t make the BMT tour due to being in a wedding!

I saw them on the Blushing tour the day the album dropped in a TINY venue.

Nice! I’ve not seen them since the Ixora tour with the string quartet

Ok so here is a list of all tooth and nail/solid state artists on FF:

i kinda hope they still have some bigger names to be announced. mxpx and pennywise kinda feel like jokes to be headlining an entire day. plus, it feels like they’ve ignored in demand metal… and i also feel like a LOT of the bigger / more exciting artists on this list were already there in the last 2 years.

this is the first time i’ve felt even remotely disappointed about the fest, and i know that it’s gonna rule because the atmosphere there is just awesome and i’ve gotten into so many cool artists just because they’ve been at this fest.

side note: not sure what people are upset about regarding the shed bash? now instead of cramming way too many people in the shed, the crowd will be dispersed across the entire fest and the price was really great to see all these artists. you still get all the same sick ass bands that were announced for that, except now you get more. silly.

FWIW I got an email from them with the lineup and it says that this is the "final lineup"

yeah… they also said friday was just a shed bash haha. but the only reason i think this isn’t the full lineup is because of the post that equal vision made. it’s also kinda weird to see one day with 2 headliners on it and the other two with just 1… but regardless, lots of good stuff in the lineup.

I will not stand for MXPX slander. They’re deserving and were quite popular during the early 00’s. Up there with the NFG, STD level of popularity from that time, but still a step below Blink and Green Day who were at the top.
