Anyone know anything about NOFX’s campout festival in Columbus?

I went to Camp Punk in Drublic in 2018 and Camp Anarchy in 2019 and had a great time at both. Am currently trying to plan out my show schedule for the year and would maybe want to go for the Saturday of this (depending on the lineup).

I find it weird that NOFX has announced the lineup for other “Punk In Drublic” 2 day fests that are months after this one.

Does anyone have any rumors about this? Is the Columbus one supposed to have a strong undercard like in 18 and 19?

I wonder if they’ll add more dates? Seems weird to only limit this to a small Northeast run. This is the album that blew them up. I’m sure there’s interest/demand for a full U.S. tour for it

My thoughts exactly. 4-5k would be perfect for the package most likely. Basically what sad summer was doing before this year and it worked well

I don't know anything more than what's on the web site, really... But they've had Pennywise, Circle Jerks, Face to Face, Lagwagon, the Bouncing Souls, and Riverboat Gamblers listed for a while. The other dates on this run have had 6-7 bands per day. So that's about half the line-up right there. I'd guess there's 2-3 smaller bands per day, another mid-card act each day, and maybe one bigger act on one of the days that would play after the Circle Jerks.

I was waffling between Columbus and San Diego for a while. I ultimately went with San Diego because the line-up on that date is significantly less "bro-y" and San Diego just seems way more fun than Thornville. LOL

Good call. The San Diego lineup rules, and in general, San Diego rules

Was kinda surprised it was such a small run too, but I have a feeling either
    a) there are more dates coming (I could see them doing this at Riot Fest) or
    b) they didn't want to make a huge deal out of it and lock themselves into a huge nostalgia tour.

I thought about them doing another leg around Riot Fest, but they played last year, so not sure if they will come back so soon

Yeah I could see either being the case. On one hand, they’re playing WWWY, so they could do a tour around that. But I could also see them trying to shy away from doing a nostalgia thing. Guess we’ll see

That's true. I'd prefer a club show for this, honestly. But RF does like to tout album plays and this seems like it could be an exception to that unwritten rule.

The San Diego line-up is definitely more aligned with my overall tastes. I like all the bands on the Ohio show but there's a certain masculine, tough guy energy that'll undoubtedly pop-up because Pennywise, Circle Jerks, and Face to Face are on the bill. I've also seen most of the bands in the past year or so.

In contrast, I never get tired of seeing the Descendents or the Bombpops. And it's been a long while since I've seen the Vandals, Mad Caddies, or Western Addictionor. Getting to see one of the first Codefendants shows is a great bonus too! Especially since I've been loving the singles they've been trickling out. Really the only bands I'm missing by going to San Diego are the Bouncing Souls and the Gamblers which... I'm seeing the Souls in December, anyway.

San Diego is a bucket list trip for me too! I'm a big "zoo" person so we'll be doing the zoo and safari park for two days and spending the rest of the time eating/drinking our way through the city. My partner's vegan so she's looking forward to having plenty of options (another advantage to the Thornville location LOL).

Gotta wonder if NFG’s involvement on this rumoured AAR tour kind of hinges on Chad’s status. It’s hard to imagine them doing a tour like that with two fill in guitarists. Hope he gets through everything okay

Yeah the zoo is awesome! And SD has so many good restaurants. Def have to get some Mexican food.

Also, if you’re into coffee, check out James Coffee Co. or Black Horse Coffee. James Coffee is owned by David Kennedy and Black Horse has some sort of ties with Jordan from NFG. Both rule

...Not sure on what the Front Bottoms draw is currently. But could they be one of the other bands on that AAR/NFG tour? Or are they "too big"?

All-American Rejects with New Found Glory, the Front Bottoms doing an album, and one more would do incredibly well in bigger venues.

Can’t see them being with those bands now a days.

    Things have changed.

In my mind, I don't think Chad ever does a full tour again. He's had a real rough go and it just seems to keep coming back. I could see him just being a writing/studio member.

So odd to see Nothing Nowhere touring with all these heavy bands but I’m liking the direction he’s headed in. Omerta needs some headlining dates too. I’m surprised they’re not more popular.

Born of Osiris has some sort of dates being announced Friday in the US around the festivals, assume if you are getting C&C you aren’t getting this run.

I haven’t kept up with them in years, does their guitarist still mime to backing track during the solo in follow the signs?
