Yeah I don't even really like that song. But no denying it was one of the catchiest songs of last year

Went to visit my mother and siblings this afternoon and played them "On What You're On". She loved it and had me play it four times in total. "When you have the album, make sure you send me a copy..."

I got her into The 1975 too. Pretty good for someone that doesn't care much for music.

Charlie said they plan to start working on the next album soon, within the next six months.

I'd have loved a third solo album first but I can't say I'm disappointed with another quick fire full-length to follow Night Driver. Knowing that they're all united and pulling in the same direction is super exciting and really bodes well for the future and longevity of the band.

Yeah, I'd have rather had a new solo album or another Fightstar album but I think they probably want to show that this isn't just a one and done kind of thing. I'm excited anyway, could be the fourth Charlie album in four years! I expect the next album will probably be better too.

I'd take another Busted album over a solo Charlie or Fightstar every single day.

I'd take new Fightstar over anything that isn't My Chemical Romance.

Genuinely, do you think this is maybe the end for Fightstar? I can definitely see him taking an extended break from his solo career at least.

I'm cool with another Busted album, but I'd prefer a new solo album from Charlie. Fightstar's best days are long behind them if their latest album is anything to go by.

I just want him to do albums in exact orders So solo is due next after Night Driver. Then FS. Then let's not forget his brothers indie band. Then busted again. Busy boy

At this point I'd rather have Fightstar album. Or a Son Of Dork album.

I don't. I think they'll come back when they have the time/inspiration and make an album/play a tour and then go back to their other projects. That's pretty much what they were saying when talking about BTDB, it's just a passion project for them now. They couldn't support their families if they were full time in that band but they said they'll never break up because they love making music together. I thought they might be done when Charlie was doing his second solo album but now I feel pretty good about them sticking around. I hope so at least.

His solo stuff he can just do whenever. Honestly whatever he does I'll be happy with, I just hope he doesn't stick to Busted for like five albums in a row now, haha. I don't think he will though.

A good fightstar album would be awesome.

I imagine that if they're working on it soon, Busted are going to smash out their fourth album by late 2017/early 2018, tour in support (can't see them doing a huge tour in support of Night Driver off the back of the comeback shows, maybe a few promo gigs and a few pop festivals), and then take a couple of years off from it though.
Who knows though? Maybe they'll release this comeback album, it'll flop, they'll write an EP that nobody notices actually exists and then Charlie will leave again after putting the band off to focus on his own things for years, only to be replaced by Tom Fletcher, who they release a throwback album far more similar to A Present For Everyone with...

Yeah, I think Fightstar will continue but in a very reduced capacity. They might come together every 3-4 years to record a new album, go on a short run of UK dates and then go back to their other projects. And honestly, I'd be completely fine waiting four years for new Fightstar as long as they all put their hearts into it - it's no use coming together simply to appease the fans by rushing a collection of songs out there when their schedules allow as if to say, "We haven't forgotten about you". Fightstar needs to be/feel more special than ever now.

I don't even know if that made any sense. As much as I love Behind the Devil's Back, it just felt a bit uninspired at times, a little undeveloped and I know for a fact it was rushed out. They were still working on it a couple of weeks out from release. Whether that was because the Busted announcement was imminent and it was going to soften the blow amongst the fanbase, I have no idea. I guess what I'm saying is when it's time for Fightstar to release a new record, it needs to be an organic process and it can't be just a three month break in the Busted schedule where they try to churn something out. If it's not for the right reasons and it's not of the highest standard, I don't think I want it. Like I said, any future Fightstar albums from this point forward are going to be rare treats. They need to be created with a lot of time and love.

I think theyre planning to do a lot of touring for his album actually. They seem to be hinting at it a lot.

Can't see Tom Fletcher ever joining Busted. That said I really want a new McFly album and I'm mad they've scrapped the album they were just about to release pre McBusted.

I think BTDB was rushed to an extent, I think they clearly could have fine tuned it a bit and maybe written another song or two but I still think the writing of the album came quickly because they were inspired and excited about it and I'd be fine with getting a Fightstar album that good every four/five years even though I know they can do better. I think this one was hurt by the Busted announcement probably being set and Charlie having a baby during the making of it.

I totally agree. Behind the Devil's Back was really disappointing, especially after a 6 year wait. It's easily Fightstar's weakest album to date.

It's funny. When I listen to it I like it. But I never find myself wanting to listen to it besides the Snakes song

I like it too, but compared to their other albums it's incredibly underwhelming imo.

I relistened to all their stuff recently and it's definitely not on the same level as GU or ODS but I think it's better than Be Human although it doesn't have the same highs as that album. I also think it's a lot better than Charlie's second solo album and I doubt Night Driver will be as good.

Long Road Home might be my favourite Charlie album at this point, it really grew on me. I still think "Winter Hymns" is the best song he's ever written, nothing comes close to that.

Behind the Devil's Back is his weakest release. "More Human Than Human" is hideously awful and definitely my least favourite Fightstar song. I have no idea what happened to Alex's voice during their six year break but he sounds soooooo bad on that track. The only song on BTDB that I love is "Dive", now that's an awesome song!

Winter Hymns isn't even my favourite song on that album and LRH is probably my least favourite of his since the first Busted album. I like at least half of BTDB more than Winter Hymns. I love More Human Than Human, I think Alex's voice definitely got worse but I don't think he sounds that bad, I still think he sounds great at times on that album. Dive and Snakes are probably my favourite songs on BTDB and I like both of them more than anything on LRH but I think the high points on most of his other albums are much higher than that.

Be Human has some fantastic songs but there's like 4/5 songs on there that just haven't held up that well for me. The only song on BTDB I don't adore is the title track.
