Got chills watching that Sami segment man, I’m gonna be mad online tomorrow night lol

 

If I remember correctly. TK did an interview with Ariel shortly after All Out. Ariel asked quite a few questions about the Brawl and TK gave a bunch of non answers for obvious reasons. Ariel then criticized Tony for those answers after the interview. I love Ariel but he does do quite a bit of pandering for WWE and his WWE interviews are filled with much softer questions than the interview he had with TK. Ariel should have known better than to expect Tony to be open while an investigation was still going on. Tony should still let it go and not care so much.

 

Apparently it’s because the crowd was chanting “Fuck You Roman”

Holy shit this is the real big reveal of the weekend

(if he wins tonight this is gonna be the reason I say I totally never doubted it)

 

you can definitely have a good wrestling match where you know who is going to win. but there is a lot to be said about how much not knowing the result adds to the excitement of the match

Cody vs Roman will be fun, but assuming that's the match (or even if its Cody vs Roman vs Sami) its still pretty clear Cody is going over and for me that takes away some of the excitement of the match.

Whereas this match... you really don't know. I wanna believe. I really do. But WWE certainly isn't above making people lose in their hometown, especially after hyping up its their home town. Its kinda their bread and butter. So not knowing what is going to happen... definitely gives it a bigger feeling to me.

 

Alright, we're treating this thing like the TBS title, defended at every PPV with no meaningful build

And its Montreal, the one town where they actively love reminding people that they screwed their hometown hero. If Vince was booking this, Sami 100% gets Kofi'd or something equally insane/crowd ruining.

There's still plenty of intrigue in how Sami loses...and probably equally as much intrigue in what happens in the build to Cody winning (does the Bloodline reform even stronger...do they break apart, etc)

 

I guess we don't definitively know, but I can't imagine WWE having Reigns lose at a "smaller" ppv. Having an amazing storyline breakout organically only to botch the ending because they don't want to let go of a different ending they had decided on a year prior would be very WWE. Maybe it's different with Triple H running things, but I'll honestly be shocked if Sami walks out champion.
