I agree from ages 21-28ish 29 I worked in the industry. I’m 38 now, things are insanely different but also always baffles me what people think they know about the industry and how tours, venues, guarantees etc.

We were having the exact same conversations about tours but with Myspace followers & Pure Volume stream counts/fans on AP, we're gonna be discussing the same exact things about platforms that don't even exist yet a decade from now. We're all here for the same reason; we're fucking music nerds. Please keep the nerdy shit coming, forever

Also, our speculation is pretty meaningless. A lot of people in this thread thought these YC venues were too big, but they're selling very well.

Actually, we'll all be dead in a decade.

Ha I like to think I know more than most just due to my own interest and what I've read. However, I'm sure there are things I've yet to uncover that will surprise me. Ryan from YC in that thread confirmed that he had no idea if they opted into dynamic pricing but figured it gives them the guarantee they need which makes sense.

Fuck yes! I was so scared they were only doing that small N American run in the spring and tickets sold out immediately.

First one sold out immediately. They’ll sell the second one out too, massive appeal in major cities.

The yellowcard tour is 35% sold out from just the artist presale yesterday!

Yellowcard in Baltimore is doing really well. Majority of tickets left are either VIP, Platinum, or Preferred Seating.

Yeah the LA show is almost sold out. $40 tickets are now $55. Isane

Good for YC! It’ll be interesting to see how those Good Charlotte dates sell later this summer/fall…some of these bands went away for 5+ yrs and are playing to their biggest crowd ever.

I’m assuming they’ll be moving up from clubs/theatres again?

Good Charlotte announced dates? Last I heard they were playing 3k rooms

Joel mentioned they have some dates around WWWY planned, nothing announced yet.

Was wondering if the nostalgia kick lately would have them in bigger venues like YC.

They oddly didn't do anything for The Young And Hopeless 20 year anniversary so I bet they still play at House Of Blues level but who knows.

Good Charlotte are one of those seminal bands for me growing up I’ve still yet to see. I really hope they come up here, but if they’re around WWWY I’m assuming they won’t come close
