Twitter in general the lowest of lows for most people on it, especially the people who take it seriously. I'm only on it for band purposes, but it really bums me out just looking at it, haha. Hell, social media in general drives me absolutely bonkers. The amount of stupid I see every day...

this is dumb and reductive, just fyi

 

I use Twitter for news on music, sports, politics, huge platform for activism, comedy, ,local community stuff, events and connecting with others personally and professionally. I use it to promote personal creative endeavors and businesses. If taking Twitter serious is dumb then fuck me

 

i block and unfollow people on the daily. especially on facebook. i don't check twitter enough to really care to curate it better. i mostly just follow various band members on there anyway. i really try not to read a lot of social media stuff lately. maybe i'm just old and grumpy. i'm on here all the time though because i feel like the majority of the users i see on here have their heads screwed on right.

 

by "taking it seriously" i basically mean just trying to get "twitter famous." but at the same time, do what makes you happy, i guess. i just don't get it, personally.

it's a great tool to get some quick news, breaking news, and pasting links to your own material, etc. though so i'm totally not bashing anyone using it for that. that's basically all i use it for too, when i remember to use it, haha.

 

the internet is a breeding ground for fostering relationships, connections, and creative expression. twitter isn't any different than this site in that aspect. quit living in the 1900s my dude.

 

I still primarily use CDs and DVDs, I still use Winamp as my main music player (with the classic skin, baby!), I don't have a TV, and my freezer is always fully loaded with Otter Pops. I am what I am, haha.

 

What do you play your DVDs on if you don't have a TV?

Just on my old laptop. Speaking of laptops, it blows my mind that newer ones don't even have CD drives anymore.
