It's also odd that "I don't like Green Day now that they're political" conveniently ignored all the left-leaning causes they had been involved in/sang about for the past 10 years. They even took Pansy Division on tour 1994 (no easy feat in those times).

Am i crazy or are amphitheaters overly ambitious for the garbage/high flying birds tour?

Also. I saw The Chicks last summer. That show fucked so hard. I def had a tear in my eye during the video of “March March”. Lol.

Probably but no more ambitious than the annual 311/Slightly Stoopid or whatever combo that consistently only fills 30% of total seats in amphitheaters

I’m not super familiar with either bands draw nowadays, but I checked and Birds played the same amphitheatre in Toronto in 2019.

Garbage/Noel Gallagher with Metric is a fairly good slam dunk package as people tend to like all 3 (or at least 2/3). Curious if tickets will be under three figures for this.

I mean both bands would easily sell out the next level down type venues? So I mean what do you do? Play bigger places at 50%-75% full. I think a lot of these amphitheater tours go in knowing the dates won’t be sold out.

Eh, I must've been going on feels. And good point about the package needed to go to that next level of venue.

also Garbage has 2mil monthly listeners so I totally underestimated their popularity.

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

I can see it doing well. Garbage has been getting a lot of interest the past few years, and Noel hasn’t toured the states in 4 years. So I think there’ll be demand.

A few of these venues are mid-size amps too. The Greek in LA is ~6000 cap, and the Santa Barbara Bowl is a little under 4000

y'all are putting too much thought into a live nation ampitheater tour. these legacy/nostalgia packages that they have been doing for years are never intended to fill most of these places, they just want to get as many people as possible from every economic class in the building so they can squeeze as much as they can through ancillaries.

True. I think I read somewhere that some of the shows that sell more tickets but cater to younger audiences are less profitable. Tours like Garbage/Noel Gallagher are definitely getting you more alcohol sales which is where LN makes a lot of their bread.

    Anyone buy Zack Bryan tickets?

So much for low fees and tickets. Appreciate the action he took and how it seemed easy to get them. But $300 isn’t for floor isn’t cheap. Here I am yelling at clouds after we bought them.

I guess in 2023 it is cheap though. Lol

Still want more intel on this Weezer tour. If it's a good package, would be down. Hopefully they do Forest Hills rather than Jones Beach
