Probably the future of big time touring. Super costly to be moving all this elaborate production from place to place. Challenge will be finding a spot that can host for 2-3 weeks without interruption which could more likely be NFL stadiums in the off season.

Buyer beware with Rihanna…incredible catalogue but def not an engaging live act. If you can only see a couple big ticket shows this summer and you want to make this one of them, def watch some YouTube vids of her live shows to set expectations.

 

Hopefully not, totally screws over the average fan. but unfortunately these artists don’t care much as long as the $$ rolls in

 

How do residencies screw over the average fan? If anything, it may help keep ticket costs down as it lowers overhead.

If you didn't live in NYC, Vegas or LA it makes it very difficult to attend a show. I would have loved to see Harry but all of his shows required a flight/hotel and it's not like the tickets were noticeably less than a touring act.

 

Saw her during ANTI and she was verrrrryy good live

 

Harry Styles tickets for Austin during his residency had the platinum tickets hit $600 for upper level. No way does it bring the price down.

 

True, I guess it’s just a way to keep travel costs down and maybe cut down on the crew

 

I got 2 pretty good spots for the Harry LA residency for like $60 each. As a SD/LA guy, I love residencies honestly but I do feel bad for the rest of y’all

 

If people do austin/Dallas then I got no problem driving but the flights be crazy on top of concert tickets and hotel.

The one I am really waiting on is the rumor of Frank Ocean doing one this year too

 

I get it for Rihanna Adele or Katy Perry because doing a full tour with a baby is difficult

 

The Anti tour was sick. A great show. Travis Scott opened that bitch too.

 

Vocally she was good but the energy was soooo low. It was 90mins of her doing the Erika Jayne lol. I was very unimpressed compared to other pop shows of similar size and scope.

 

May have been an off night, she was was going crazy at mine

 

It was the first night of the tour in Buffalo. Now that I think of it, it was the Diamonds tour, ASAP Rocky opened.

I know I saw the Anti tour but I have literally no memory of it. I kinda remember a soap bubble waterfall effect but that’s it.

 

gonna be fascinating to see how they follow that incredible experience of the At Their Very Best show ...
