Barcelona signed a LA Galaxy fullback on loan apparently?

"stranded in PSG club offices" is hilarious

Chelsea are truly the worst club. Just knock it down and make it Fulham’s biggest car park

  7. Sabitzer completed in time. Good pickup for United imo.

I think Sabitzer will be a good signing. I am an idiot and know nothing but when I watched RB Leipzig I wanted to sign him a few years ago. I also wanted to poach their coach

    https://www.arabianbusiness.com/lif...h-career-at-al-nassr-says-manager-rudi-garcia

"Ronaldo is yet to score for his new club. He failed to hit the net on his league debut against Al Ettifaq or in Al Nassr’s Saudi Super Cup exit to Al Ittihad.

Due to this, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has been facing flak from fans, as well as the director of Al Nassr.

In a viral video, the Saudi director can be seen expressing his frustration at the footballer. “I spent $200 million, and all he does is ‘siuuuu’,” the director can be heard saying in the video."

Hard to remember a worse decision than this guy. He was one of our brightest academy prospects, and we were getting ready to put him into the first team squad this season. Chelsea poached him and since then he’s made two appearances all season (one was out of position), they’ve got 8 wingers ahead of him, and now he can’t even get a loan.

    oh well.

Excited to see if Sabitzer can do the business. I know him and Weghorst are hardly blockbuster moves, but it’s bloody nice actually seeing us address issues in January.

I cannot get my head around how things have gone so wrong at Everton. Literally what is the point of having a director of football if they fail to sign anyone?

Everton’s squad is actually pretty decent tbf.

Pickford, Patterson, Coady, Takowski, Mina, Mykolenko, Godfrey, Onana, Doucoure, Iwobi, Gueye, McNeil, Gray, Townsend, DCL

That’s 100% a PL level first 15 imo. And it could form a good 4-4-1-1 for Dyche I think.

Replies to this are quite warming. People checking he can get a medal of we go on to win the league, others inviting him on the fan cruise when we play against Fulham lol.

No, he isn’t the best player in the world, but he’s a functional PL fullback, and seems like a genuinely great guy in the dressing room.

I don't think the Everton squad is inherently that bad, they've been underperforming for sure. But at the same time, they've sold a player for £45m (£40m up front apparently) and signed no one. All the while all their rivals have strengthened.

And that's apart from getting a new manager and not backing him. And the mentality boost that new blood brings.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

What's going on at Everton reminds me a bit of teams like Sunderland and Newcastle (there's other examples too), where something about the club has become so miserable that a reasonable squad just cannot perform. There's been some obvious contributing factors, the big ones being poor managerial choices and over the last few years and blasting money up the wall on signings who were too expensive and haven't really fit. There seems to have been a general lack of direction in both player and managerial appointments and it just seems to have knocked the wind out of everyone there.

Couple that with the panic of maybe getting relegated, whilst in the midst of building a new stadium and it just all looks extremely negative. I don't think Dyche is going to help with that either. Unless he saves them this year and then gets them running smooth next season, he's just going to look like an unambitious sticking plaster of a choice.

Admittedly, Dyche did great with Burnley, so maybe with a bigger profile of club and better players, he might change up his style into something a bit more enjoyable...

Great for River Plate, I guess. They signed Rondon on a two-year deal to celebrate!

You may have seen it, but check out Dyche’s two Coaches Voice videos. He shows just how knowledgeable he is, and goes into a bit of how the 442/4411 was a pragmatic approach given the players he had.

I rate him, tbh. (He’s also from my hometown so I have to)

I'll check those out. Thanks for the tip off.

  22. It’s been a year from hell for Conte. He’s already been going through a lot after two close friends passed away. Now he has this surgery. I think the stuff going on in his personal life have been dragging him down a bit in his professional life, which is understandable. Hopefully things start getting better for him soon.

I watched Bank of Dave on Netflix recently and laughed out loud at Dyche’s cameo. Makes perfect sense given the story but yeah was not expecting that

This made me chuckle because of all the posts in the last few weeks have been (paraphrasing): hope this dude loses his job asap

But yeah, health is extremely important and so is grief processing.
