Oh, no doubt. But I just cant imagine a world where Fox/USA want Cody or Gunther or really any non-Roman/Cena level person to be the dual-brand champion.

Its also held back some people like Sheamus/Gunther/Lashley/etc who could have been telling their stories around the Universal title rather than the IC/US title

 

I wonder what they’ll do for elimination chamber because aren’t the Usos not able to go to Canada because of the DUIs?

This shit is so great I hope they follow up with it on Raw but we’ll probably have to wait til smackdown.

And yes this is an amazing story but personally for me I don’t think it beats the Yes movement.

 

I wish we could have heard what they were saying in the ring. But that just goes to show how invested everyone was that we didn’t need to hear any of that and we still got all the emotion from the moment. Just reading off body language

Also "There's no crying in the bloodline" is *chef kiss* from Heyman

I just can't make out what Roman says right before Sami hits him. But whatever it is, you can see it makes Sami realize what he has to do

 

Sami sold that super kick from Jimmy like a god

 

Not a good PPV all around. The Sami turn was kinda lame all things considered. Seems the build could have been better.

I missed some of it. Did jimmy turn on Roman?

 

For real though like to each their own but in my mind this was literally one of the best builds in wrestling and I don't think I'm in a minority here

Also Jimmy stayed loyal to the bloodline. Jey walked out though. Didn't go full turn, just went "I'm not dealing with this shit tonight"

 

I just feel like the build was great, but that wasn't the perfect moment it could have been…

Guess we will see what happens.

Easily the most predictable RR in years though. Every match and RR was an easy guess.

 

The funny thing about the Bray match is that I still wanted to see what goofy shit was going to happen even though I’ve hated all his promos and agreed with the heel the entire time. Which I guess is the point.

 

Not that it means much but Roman was on the late night show on Friday and only brought up Cody and Sami as potential contenders at Mania.

 

That ending really couldn't have been better. I enjoyed the rumble matches, yeah they both had some shitty moments but I'm a sucker for any rumble match haha. Surprised they didn't throw Katana Chance or Sol Ruca in the women's to do a fun spot.

 

He doesn’t need to face Roman at Mania. He just needs to face Roman, period. And the Montreal show is a much, much better spot for that match to happen. The crowd is going to be absolutely rabid.

My guess is that we get drama involving Jey and the the Bloodline, due to his apparent defection. But he shows that he is loyal at Elimination Chamber, rejoining Roman and costing Sami the match. From there, you are on your way to Mania with the Usos vs Sami & KO, and they possibly form an alliance with Cody along the way.

 

God, Sami/KO vs. the Usos at Mania would be SUCH a step down. I know that Cody won the Rumble, but there's two belts, two nights. Make Roman work both.

 

Not easy to build two different feuds at the same time for the same event basically. One show he does a promo with Cody and the next with Sami? Seems weird to me. They def booked themselves into a corner with Roman having both belts.

 

I have to rewatch the ending because I fell asleep oops

Right now for me I’m more interested in the interactions between Sami and Jey. To me they tell a bigger story than Sami/Roman

 

Yep. That’s why I don’t think it’s far fetched that it’s gonna be tag title related for Sami at mania. Sami/Jey has been the biggest part in a great story.

I think now it just feels a little too obvious that Sami is gonna get that title shot in Montreal and it’ll be Jey costing him.

 

It does yeah. Hard to see it going any other way

 

Obvious is more than okay in wrestling booking, trying to avert from the obvious ruins story lines a lot of the time.

 

Yep, that’s why I don’t get when people get annoyed or pissy about booking decisions being predictable sometimes.

Why not have Sami/Roman night 1 and have Cody say he will face the winner night 2.
