Still don’t understand the hate John D gets…like this rollout has been poor but why are we rooting for an independent music festival that was a big part of most of our youth to fail?

 

That’s the thing- we WANT the festivals to work. He’s very clearly the reason it won’t. And he has a ridiculously cocky, out of touch, annoying attitude *while* he destroys the fest.

I probably talk the most shit about him and this festival of anyone online- but I also had money set aside to attend it since the very first teaser video came out years ago. Trust me, I would rather see Bamboozle be great. That’s just out of the realm of possibility for this year, and John refuses to see that.

Also the whole “charge one of the highest per-day prices of any festival in the country and justify it with a supposedly great lineup that never materializes even as more bands get announced” thing REALLY rubbed me the wrong way. I feel like that’s a predatory business practice and deliberately takes advantage of the festival’s most loyal fans.
