So this is what the announcement was? A collection of random shows?

Seems like it. Along with a new logo? This was still very disappointing

seems like it, also not sure what this means by the 'rebirth' of the Belasco? I've been there a few times the past few months, if it closed down and reopened I totally had no idea

You haven't lived if you've never heard the Kidz Bop version of "Bring Me to Life" by Evanescence

(Fair warning: It's 1,000 times worse than you can even imagine)

Who couldn't love child gang vocals on the chorus?

  17. I made the mistake of putting this on for a minute during a work meeting while i was (not) listening to one of our managers talk. It was so hard to not even crack a smile. Internally, I was chortling though.

I saw that Target is pressing Kidz Bop comps on vinyl now... Next time there's a pressing delay, I'm blaming Kidz Bop.

the gang kids vocals are fire, but it's the guy filling in for the 12 Stones rap guy's verse that truly makes this transcendent. Total energy of one of the kids' dads at the studio doing karaoke. incredible stuff

That was hilariously bad. Funny enough, I don’t think Evanescence includes the male vocals when it’s done live anymore.

This is ridiculous. Do they at least let the crowd do that part, or they just skip it all together?

Apparently if they don't change any of the lyrics, they don't need permission from the band to record the song.. I think I read they wanted to do a Kidz Bop version of a Fall Out Boy song ("Dance, Dance") but wanted to change one of the lyrics and the band was able to tell them no.

Fall Out Boy Throw Down on…Kidz Bop?

They never initially wanted the 12 stones dude part in the first place. The label made them add it cause they didn’t think dudes would listen to it if it didn’t have male vocals.

The instrumentals are still part of the song and the crowd usually sings it. The last time I saw them, they had the rap fed through the speakers. Amy Lee despises the verse since the label forced it on them.

When I saw them on the Korn co-headliner this September they had the guy from P.O.D. (Sonny? I think? Lead singer guy) do it. So it might just be situational.

Apparently they originally asked Mike from Linkin Park to do it but he politely declined.
