  1. Yeah I saw that but couldn’t get it to load either. Might try a vpn? Anyone know if those work with Apple Music for geolocked content?

I spent weeks trying to figure out the name of a musician who made one album that I knew about around 2008 and then I never heard from him again, and all I could remember was that he had 4 names and I think he was from NYC around that time. I finally was able to figure out that it was Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson that I was thinking about, and it was his 2009 album Summer of Fear that I was familiar with. Apparently he had self-titled album the year before as well but I never heard it.

I recently listened to Summer of Fear for the first time in 13 odd years and I still think it's really good. I do think it's way too long at well over an hour, but there are absolutely a lot of really great songs on it. Any fans of his on here that remember the album...?

I've been listening to it almost daily since I was able to figure out who it was I was thinking about.

Damn. I saw Over It play at No Future Cafe in Pasadena, CA circa 2002. The singer’s mic was not loud at all and you couldn’t hear the vocals but it still ripped.

    MAN I miss these guys.

All their albums are still pretty great. They were killer live too.

  10. Some of you may know, but just in case you don't, or you forgot... When I travel, or go to local record stores in my area, I like to go through the emo/punk/hardcore sections and pick out a couple 7 inch records that look interesting. I pick out just the ones of bands I've never heard of. It's generally very small bands from the 90s to early 2000s that only pressed like 200-500 copies of their records.

I'll be uploading records to YouTube every Tuesday and Friday as long as I have new ones to share.

Feel free to subscribe if this idea sounds up your alley. I've stumbled on some really awesome music this way.

Originally, I had an Instagram account for this (@7inchitch) but I was only able to share a single song from each record, so it wasn't quite ideal. Especially for split EPs and compilations. So I've decided to turn my focus onto the YouTube channel.

Anyway, sorry for the shameless self promo. Enjoy!

I would love for The Audition to reunite someday. You've Made Us Conscious came on shuffle over the weekend so I listened to all of Controversy Love Company and it still holds up. Insanely catchy

They had an album in 2018 called Mutations which was pretty decent actually, but now they have a full complete band with a new album coming out in a few months. It is called Freakazoid!

This was a song I really liked from their last release:

So kind of yes and kind of no with Daphne Loves Derby. They put out an album called Exit which is basically the third album they recorded, but never released years and years ago. Jason did a lot of work behind the scenes with fans to make the tracklist of previously recorded material to get it to that stage and such. A lot of the songs are very good.

Their lead singer, Kenny, is no longer with the band. He has moved on and it's a huge bummer. However, Jason still wants to bring the band back so he basically created Daphne 2.0 which is him and a few musicians who were big fans and they are now the band from the looks of it. They played a couple shows last year and they even recorded some of it. It's pretty good!

They did have an EP called Odds & End which is Jason and a bunch of other bands and musicians doing songs together. I personally don't think they are that good, but it was a cool project. Sherwood actually took part in it.
