I think this is going better than my NFL thread fanfiction idea would have

 

Beyonce, Springstein, and Prince are probably the best ones I remember

Oh yeah! For some reason that one's fuzzy to me. I thought it happened in the 90s but I looked it up and it was 2007. Huh. Wonder why that slipped my memory

I just remember Springsteen doing like a 25 foot slide on his knees across the stage at age 67 and slamming hard into the camera man, helping him up with the biggest laugh on his face and getting right back to performing. Springsteen is eternal. Was a spot on reproduction of his songs live as well.

 

Has no one posted this yet? Not an Eagles or Wentz fan particularly, but I love this celebration.

I never would have imagined myself doing this week 1 but I dropped Derek Carr for Carson Wentz in fantasy haha.

Carr just had all the same weeks of tough matchups as Bortles so he wasn't a good replacement - He plays Denver on Bortles bye for fuck's sake. Meanwhile, Wentz has an easy matchup almost every time I would want to sit Bortles

 

I saw that live and thought it was pretty weird

 

This is their thing apparently. They did it in the preseason too lol.

 

Late on this, but I would say something negative about OneRepublic being the band for Denver, but I can't say much since on a "worldwide" level, Colorado has some really shitty bands lol. At least it wasn't 3oh3

 

It really is an impressively weak output for a state. If I could pick any band to put on a Broncos shirt, I'd go with Christie Front Drive. The dropoff from there is gigantic.

 

One Republic isn't that bad. One of few modern radio acts I can tolerate. (Beyonce is not included in this conversation because she is so far and away better than basically every other top 40 pop artist it's not even funny)

 

If it would've been Fear Before the March of Flames for Denver, then I'd think about getting it.

 

I dig that band

 

Terrain is automatically a better choice for the Jags shirt than whatever the fuck Truck Band we got (they actually use Truck in their band name)

 

Seattle should have been Macklemore...they deserve each other

Edit: maybe it is, I don't even know.

 

Seattle had about 200 better options

 

Still can't get over Daughtry.

Hasn't he been irrelevant for the past 6-7 years?

 

Has he been relevant? Really has any American Idol? Only one I can think of is the first one Kelly Clarkson.

Pretty sure winners of that show only sell records to American Idol viewers. Which is still a lot of people so I guess their talent is still rewarded.

But Daughtry's got to be the most overrated. Not even that good of a singer. Dude won because he wrote power chords and sampled some simple drums behind his Idol performances and they kept saying "it was pitchy, your voice sounded uncomfortable in that range, but OMG GRUNGE GUITARS ON AMERICAN IDOL" . Every songwriting musician I know can do that.
