The National and Leon Bridges also consistently play bigger rooms/move more tickets than Smashing Pumpkins

 

Is it just me or is this a very “I’d never pay for their tour but would see them at a festival” type lineup?

 

Also had no idea that Caamp had enough pull to be that high up on the lineup.

 

Not true, SP still play arenas which both those artists never have.

 

SP plays arenas but needs strong support and/or struggles to fill them. Leon Bridges played a 14k place last year and The National is at arena level in big cities. It's probably a draw most places but here in NYC, The National definitely has a bigger draw than the Pumpkins.

 

I'd go to this festival to see both if i were able to make the trip

they are quite big now, last year's summer tour had 2 nights at Red Rocks and a number of 3-5k sold out shows. they were direct for the lumineers for a month before that too.
