  1. From what I understand, his contract is up in the summer but Brighton have a clause to extend it another year. So, we'll just call it 18 months. And he's 28 years old. So it does seem like a good time to sell if you're Brighton. And Spurs are probably thinking he'd be reasonably priced due to those factors. But if it becomes a bidding war with Chelsea and/or Newcastle then I hope we back out lol

  2. Won the highest prize in the sport with LAFC and decided to call it a day.

    Greatest British Player ever?

There's an argument given how good he was at his peak and the honours he won.

  5. It's fitting that his final game was him scoring a late equalizer in a championship match that propelled his team to lifting a cup. Dude was always so good in massive moments for his clubs. He was a star but still underrated by most.

So many iconic moments in his career too.

Destroying Maicon in the Champions League, that goal against Barca, the bicycle kick in the Champions League Final, the "Wales. Golf. Madrid" flag.

His injuries towards the end of his career will taint his legacy imo. As will all that picking his country (and golf) over his employees business. Fantastic player on his day, mind you.

  10. There has to be an option to buy right? Did they really pay 11m for 6 months of Felix?

Of course lol. Chelsea are DESPERATE to pay that much.

“chelsea project appealed” aka give me a ton of money and then I’ll come back to Atleti when Simeone goes.

Chelsea is just fucking Kirby of buying footballers at this point. Feel like they have taken the crown for United in that regards.

  15. I can’t imagine looking at those two clubs and thinking the Chelsea project appeals more than Arsenal. I hate saying it as a Spurs fan, but if I were a young attacking player, Arsenal is one of the more appealing clubs in the world right now. Inserting Felix into that squad would be massive. But oh well. Money talks.

Boehly is just Googling "good soccer players" and trying to buy anyone that comes up at this point.

No buy option. Perhaps they’re desperate because they’re worried about finishing 15th at this rate lol.

Arsenal actually have an identity and a commitment to a tatical style unlike 95% of the teams throwing all this cash right now it seems.

Makes a slight bit of sense with them having Nkunku coming in the summer.

What boggles my mind, is that a player could come here and try to win the PL, but they’d rather go to a currently mid table team for money. And then they lie and pretend it’s a project lol, for a six month loan.

  21. I guess the bright side for Arsenal is that it probably takes Chelsea out of the Mudryk chase. At least that’s what you’d think lol

Similar to some of the guys that City looked at and lost due to similar things. It tends to work out it seems at least for City. It's why Tixi and the front office really changed their recruitment style and will move on from players if games start getting played.

Imagine spending £274 million in less than a year only for your team to get worse

I think Felix is just desperate for a situation that is better than Atletico for him, doesn’t matter the club. Surely he would prefer Arsenal/United to Chelsea, but Chelsea are the only ones willing to meet Atletico’s terms. With that being the case, Felix only has the Chelsea option presented to him. He’s not getting paid any more or less, from his point of view he’s only been provided the option of going to Chelsea on his current wages and has reasonably said yes.

I am absolutely delighted we didn’t give in. Chelsea are getting fleeced. I also don’t really rate him that highly. Simeone isn’t the only reason he’s flopped at Atletico imo
