Love Mythic Quest. Definitely increases in quality from the start as it goes on. Though this season has been good, but not as great as last season. I’d still say it’s definitely worth it.

 

i want to get into that this weekend and see what it's like. it'd be interesting to compare orders and thoughts afterward.

 

I didn’t think Netflix knew how to do that anymore

 

I liked all the "jokes" that if they made Enid and Wednesday sapphic they'd have to cancel it

 

Once that happens, if Netflix cancel it, just give it to Amazon so they can cancel it a second time

 

Finished Alice in Borderland S2. I have mixed feelings about the ending, which I'm still processing, but what a wild and entertaining ride this show was.

 

The Pale Blue Eye is pretty boring 30 min into this...

Started Pressure Cooker on Netflix tonight. Definitely an interesting Big Brother-like twist on cooking competition shows. First episode was a little iffy but there are not really any alliances formed yet with the first elimination happening right away. I’m excited to see how it goes though.

 

New Korean sci fi film looks dope AF - same director that did Train to Busan and Hellbound

 

With Sheridan/Paramount reviving the popularity of the Western genre recently, I am still awaiting for every other media company to jump on board and do their own western.

For Disney I predict they'll fastrack two western projects they have had on the shelf or previously canned for Disney+:

• Dragon Teeth - based on the western historical novel by Michael Crichton about the Bone Wars, a period where early American Paleontologists in the late 19th century old west found themselves in often violent confrontations with each other over the claim to dinosaur fossils. It was optioned by Nat Geo and Amblin for a co-production in 2016 as a limited series but nothing has come from it yet.
• Big Thunder Mountain - based on the iconic Disney theme park ride. In 2013 ABC ordered a pilot for a western series based on the attraction that was eventually scrapped.

 

That show ruled. Totally took me by surprise. Why mixed feelings on the ending?

 

I didn't like the tease for another season. Two seasons were perfect.

 

I was really surprised they were able to make an ending that made any sense at all for Alice in Borderland. I was happy with it

 

Is that Will Trent show on ABC/Hulu any good? Sonja Sohn on the cast and them using the phrase "good po-lice" in the trailer makes me feel like they're targeting The Wire fans with this show lol.

 

Also you know The Wire is a legendary-tier show when 15 years after its over there are still consistently multiple shows airing at all times that cast The Wire vets to lend them clout.

Lombardozzi as the big bad in Tulsa King right now fucking rules btw, especially the last couple of episodes.

 

Just now learning that Tulsa King is not a fictionalized spiritual sequel to Tiger King

 

We enjoyed the first episode of Will Trent. Also never seen The Wire.

 

As someone that went to Joe Exotic’s Tiger prison thing in 2015 and as an Oklahoman, I hate that Tiger King exists

 

I'm just not completely clear on what's real and what isn't. Did they all collectively experience the "purgatory" world with the games but only Arisu has a faint memory of experiencing it? Who/what controls this purgatory? Am I supposed to think there's more to the story after that ominous joker card shot at the end?

so the way I understood it, they all actively experienced it together. It was real, their consciousness was there. They are experiencing it similar to how we experience dreams where we have faint feelings of familiarity, deja vu, but don’t actively really remember the experience.

As for the joker, I guess we’ll find out.
