I think they’ve just settled into what the ratings are going to be. 800-900k and maybe 1m spikes for bigger shows/matches. They’re having really hot crowds and doing good business with live crowds.

Not sure what they can change. Any immediate changes to spike it probably hurts them long term.

 

keep a few things in mind:

last time new japan was in the san fran area was a g1 special that had okada/cody (or omega/cody, i can’t remember) and it was nowhere near a sell out. liike like the arena in san jose is the same size if not a bit larger in capacity: 2 levels of seating plus floor.

and, if it IS on ppv, it’ll be thru the njpwworld site, much like that philly show was last year. no way (imo) they stretch ospreay/omega overtime on television/ppv/live events that they don’t have complete control over.

Well if that’s the case wasting the rematch on the SJ makes no sense because it’s a big deal in Japan. Mercedes has already moved enough tickets to think it’ll sell out. No need to add a match that could be money elsewhere. I could also see the match happening at Dominion.

HHH loves Jay White according to Sapp but I think Jay has another few years on his deal with NJPW. He supposedly wants to spend more of his time in the US since he’s having a kid so maybe he’ll do some more AEW stuff.

I’d like to see Jay in AEW or WWE full time tho

 

yep, same here in like 5th or 6th grade. Maybe you were that friend lol.
