The number of people who either were or became famous from that movie is insane.

I hated it, shut it off a few minutes before it ended, and then read the ending on wiki lol

No matter how much I dislike a movie I gotta read the ending at least!

Just hit the infamous red-face jump scare in Insidious. Given that my bathroom is at the end of the hallway, it looks like I'll be going in my undies tonight.

Finally watched Hush tonight and loved it. Now I'm watching Nightbreed for the first time, I've heard mixed things so this should be interesting.

Have fun with Nightbreed. Take it for what it is and you should be alright!

Liked it a lot, didn't see the twist coming because I'm a dummy. I read up on the ending and there's a couple ways to interpret it

I didn't see the twist coming, either. I read some of the interpretations, as well, and I think he died in the fire. But it would be really creepy if he didn't and he now hallucinates his mother, too.

I'm on board with bashing Jason X. Part VIII was the last good Jason movie.

I showed my friends Hush last week, and they kept making fun of it the first 25 min, then they were super into it like I knew they would.

Had a blast with Nightbreed, love stuff like this. Need to see the directors cut now.

EDIT: I'm an idiot, it is the director's cut on Netflix. Regardless, loved it.

I remember seeing this a bunch of times on the Sci-Fi network. Features a young Seth Green and Alfonso Ribeiro (Carlton from Fresh Prince) plays a wanna-be gangster whose body gets split in half from a tick growing out of him.

Yes, it is definitely a bizarre and memorable film to say the least, haha.

  19. I remember seeing the Jack Frost DVD cover at my local Blockbuster/Hollywood Video all the time and being creeped tf out.

The one I posted earlier or the "less creepy" G rated version?

Does anyone remember the names of these movies?

    - first one is really fuzzy in my memory, I mainly just remember being so scared I would pee in gatorade bottles as a kid to avoid walking to the bathroom in the dark. All I can recall is it was kinda old, from the late 60's-70's most likely, and focused on some scientists digging an artifact out of the ground, a creepy caveman that was re-animated later on, and a scene where the scientists were receiving loud, painful telepathic communication from these creepy insect alien creatures that you never really got a good look at. I think they were underground, maybe in a spaceship that was possibly also the artifact?

    - The other one, all I have to go on is the VHS cover - it was a nighttime scene, lots of dark blue and featured several of these creepy old men-looking monsters, only they were giants and were wading through the ocean. Think they were also wearing goggle-esque devices, but not totally sure. Pretty sure it was a detailed illustration, like many of the VHS covers from the 80's/90's.

Speaking of which, I've been trying to identify a movie I saw as a kid...

I saw part of this horror movie on what I guess was HBO in the early 90s. I only have a vague recollection of it now but I want to know what it was because it looked really creepy at the time. It must have been from the mid to late 80s and it was sort of those "boy suspects neighbor of evil-doings" type of movies. The one scene I remember is the boy sneaking into his neighbor's basement in the middle of the day. And then this man approaches him who looks like Robert England as his normal appearance (yet still creepy) and he basically warned the kid never to come back snooping around. I've gone through England's filmography and don't believe it was actually him in the movie I'm trying to think of.

  24. Train to Busan was pretty good. Really nailed the "horde" aspect of zombies.

Since we're all listing movies we can't remember. There was one I saw as a kid. It was definitely older. About a guy that kept seeing a killer in the reflection of mirrors and it was freaking him out. At some point in the movie he puts drapes over all the reflective surfaces in his house. The killer could be identified my their leather glove. I feel like it was more of a psychological thriller than horror. My memory of it is spotty at best. Couldn't even say for sure if it was a movie or tv episode.

It's launching in the UK this Autumn, but they haven't given us much information.
