  1. Seeing them tonight, 10 years after I first saw them on the Dead Silence tour. Revisited their entire discography in the lead up to the show and Crisis Of Faith has grown on me a lot too. It doesn’t touch I, II, and Dead Silence but I’ll now put it above Afraid Of Heights and maybe even III.

Can’t wait for Forgiveness I + II to decimate me tonight!!

That was a blast! The biggest surprise was that, despite being 6 albums in, they included a ton of deep cuts I wasn't expecting Tears Into Wine aka one of my faves to be played at all!! The setlist being quite III heavy while I only got one song as well. The new songs went off with Reckless Paradise getting quite a big reception. It really didn't feel like a decade had passed because they're still full of that same youthful energy they had at my previous show. They remain one of the tightest group of musicians I've ever seen play live.

Also I totally forgot there were openers so I wasn't expecting Frank Turner to pop up. I used to listen to Million Dead but I never took the time to check out his solo stuff. His mix of folk, punk and rock'n'roll was interesting and depending on which side of those genres the song leaned on, I got into some more than others. Dude was so joyous and energetic that it made me want to dive into his discography.

I had forgotten this came out this year, but saw someone in the Slam Dunk group calling it their AOTY, so curious where opinion has settled now.

Imo it's their best since II. A couple of duds but on the whole really enjoyable.

Good guy, but a bad dude

Releasing half the album beforehand really colored my perception of it. I don’t hate it, I like basically everything they’ve done, but it’s near the bottom of their discography for me.

    Time to do rankings then?

    II
    Dead Silence
    I
    III
    Afraid Of Heights
    Crisis Of Faith

I think Crisis is the only album I don’t go back to much, I’d love to see the band back in Australia, not sure they’ve been since 2016
