Related to the thread topic, but only half related to the current discussion. Though now that I think about it I think I DID see this movie, but I'm also afraid I might be mixing it up with a different abduction movie. When my wife first brought this up to me I was convinced I had never heard of it/seen it/it didn't exist, but now....I'm really wondering if there's another abduction movie out there that I'm mixing up with this one.

As for the current discussion, it wasn't the awkening for anyone as far as I know, but (spoilers for the topic at hand being somewhat NSFW lol) my wife did tell me in discussing why/what made her fantasize about something certain that I will not say here that a certain scene from this movie turned her on when she saw it as a teenager and made her realize that it was something she wanted to explore lol. I don't specifically remember any movies or tv shows doing anything like that for me as a teen.

American Pie definitely was an important one. My friend ruined it by telling my mom it was disgusting because a woman gets naked. Varsity Blues was up there too.

I'm sorry but it's just not the same after the perverted, grooming, politically correct left CANCELLED her for *checks notes* being too sexualized for children. Just what perverted groomers would do!

In retrospect, the movie Wild Things is an especially embarrassing thing to watch with your family.

I mention this for no reason at all.

Wild Things was another big one too. This was at a time in my life where my family had an illegal cable box, my father lived in another city for work Monday-Friday, and my mother was recovering from a hysterectomy. I basically had no supervision and would stay up all night watching things I shouldn't. MTV's Undressed and Dr. Drew were talking about things I did not understand at all.

Wild Things, as a film, is so off-putting to me. It's such a miserable watch.

I haven't seen it since it came out, but I remember liking all the twists where everyone basically backstabs each other and they're all completely terrible people.

It probably wouldn't hold up if I watched it now, but I'd like to continue remembering it fondly.

I click on this thread hoping for a robust discussion on the subpar forgettable films of yore, and what do I find but a bunch of reminiscing about the times everyone turned away from the lord's grace

The only thing that I would view as awkward for a family. It’s been like 20 years? Haha

The fact that I've had the scene where Denise Richards, Matt Dillon, and Neve Campbell's characters all initiate a drunken threeesome burned into my brain for 24 years probably says more about me than I'd like.

Wild Things is fine. What was truly vulgar was the sequel, Wild Hogs
