Wow Nat Geo Films just killing it this year. Do yourselves a favor this weekend and go binge Fire Of Love, Retrograde, and The Territory on Disney+. Three of the best docs of 2022. Will be shocked of one of them doesn't win the Oscar.

I think The Territory might be my doc of the year. I don't remember the last time I've seen a documentary this thrilling.

 

Christmas Murderville was pretty good, def more in line with the Conan, Marshawn and Kumail episodes. Didn't even mind the Pete Davidson cameo

 

I'm of the opinion Marshawn Lynch should do more acting. He said one line in this and it was excellent.

 

Lmao Marshawn's only line was the best line in the show

Don't Pick Up The Phone on Netflix was really disturbing. I don't know how the cops dropped the ball on that case. The guy clearly did it, but man that small town cops fuck that up so hard. There is CCTV footage of actual horrible workplace sexual assaults that took place so trigger warning if you decide to watch it.

I know I shouldn't be shocked that the average manager regardless of gender would sexually assault their employees without question if someone claiming to be a cop told them to, but goddamn. This is like one of those experiments they teach you about in Psych class applied into practice.

 

It’s not all that surprising when you remember that cops are useless

They clearly wanted to catch the guy but the one cop blew his load as soon he got a chance to get the guy on an interrogation room before he had enough hard evidence, then and the guy pled 5th, so they were forced to push through a weak ass case. Total incompetence.

I love that whenever cops catch another cop being a serial sexual predator or serial killer or something they try to make it out like "he was just a wannabe who thought he was one of us" lol. There is one part in this was the cop is terrified that he thinks the guy might be another cop, and when he learns he was a correctional officer he's like "oh thank god he's not a cop", its like no he's still a cop dude lol.

 

The penultimate episode of Station Eleven was great. Loved that they closed it with a Tribe song circling back to Frank. Seems they wrapped up Jeevan’s storyline very well. Onto the finale.


After this should I start White Lotus or I May Destroy You?

I haven’t watched Don’t Pick Up The Phone yet but there was a movie about it called Compliance a few years ago that was really good. I think it’s on Prime.

 

Both are good, very different from each other

 

I May Destroy You was my show of the year when it came out. A brilliant masterpiece IMO. White Lotus absolutely rules too, of course. Either is a solid choice but you really should watch both.

 

Both it is
