Went to Chicago for a few days last week for the first time… already considering moving there in the summer

 

Come on through! I’ve been here for 3.5 years and it’s honestly been fantastic.

I’ve lived in New England all of my life, blizzards sound like home

 

I’ve been really into Modern Nun lately. Also Neptune’s Core is a newer band of high schoolers and they are really cool. Tenci is really great too but they’re a bit more popular, same with Izzy True and Mia Joy. Fran is putting out a new record next year which should be great. Girl K is dope too.

 

Been here going on eight years. It's home now.

 

So how are we feeling about this storm? Let’s hope I can find my winter jacket in the far back of a closet somewhere

 

My friend Nick is in Tiny Kingdoms! They are releasing their debut album next year!

 

Nick and Jake are both great and both live a few blocks from me.

 

My brother is flying in late Friday — hopefully late enough to miss the worst of it. It seems like it's been trending less snow but still a ton of wind.

 

I am supposed to fly to Jacksonville at noon on Saturday. Here's hoping I can get out of dodge. In the event that it's not possible, my fiancee and I loading up at a dispensary and some non-perishable groceries this afternoon.

 

I just spent too much money on a battery powered snow blower. bring on this damn snow.

 

If I ever live in a place with my own driveway, I’m buying a flamethrower for heavy snowfall.

 

One of the hotels for my wedding next year is The Robey, which is across the street from that Damen Walgreens. We noted on our website, so it looks like we are gonna have to take that note off!

 

Anyone else doing Dry January? This is a cool idea.
