Good game this. France really being shaken by Morocco here.

I expected Morocco to fall apart once they had to chase the game. Pleasantly surprised.

Wild dive after contact. But that looked like it really hurt. His foot jammed into the pitch.

Standard of reffing in this match is appalling.

At the expense of looking bitter, this is twice in a row (if they hold on), that France has advanced while looking pretty poor (or average at best). I also just can't stand Mbappe so if they do hold on, I'll be team Messi all the way on Sunday. Mbappe is like Neymar in that they're just unlikeable despite their skill. Ronaldo unfortunately has gone that way as well leaving Messi as a rare superstar whose attitude doesn't dilute his ability.

Moroccan miracle! - lets go. (I don't believe it, but I'll say it anyway).

On doit jouer à domicile comme à la maison.

Honest question: What makes Mbappé less likable than Messi? I mean he chose to play for PSG, but other than that he doesn't strike me as more arrogant or anything than Messi. Always seems very humble in post game interviews and all that.

Totally agree with you on Ronaldo though...

Totally agree on the France performance thing. For a team who is pretty stacked with quality players, they are awful to watch and really don't seem to take the games to other teams. It's not even like it's a comprehensive counter attacking strategy, because they look pretty on edge trying to defend as well. If Morocco had shown a bit more quality around the box, France could have been in real trouble last night.

I don’t disagree with this at all but you look at the players that France are missing and you can kind of understand them being a little bit underwhelming in games. They’re missing a ton of big players yet are still managing to win games. Their squad outside the first 11 is good, but not filled with the talent it could be if everyone was healthy.
