I have a sinking suspicion one of two things is happening at Bamboozle HQ today

-either John D is looking at the final lineup with Kanye West’s name at on the top line and sweating profusely

- or he’s working the phones like a madman trying to see if he can get Kanye for dirt cheap now

I’m not sure which is more likely, but I feel like if there’s anyone left who’s not in far right circles and still sees a working relationship with Kanye as an opportunity, it’d be that dummy

 

No way he booked or is looking to book Kanye. He's dumb but not that dumb.

 

Can someone fill me in on the hate for this guy?

I mean he is basically just any ole shady concert promoter, who shits on others, try’s to undercut them, and makes promises or builds thing up that aren’t kept. Honestly that’s kinda it, he a scumbag but not more or less than many other promoters.

 

There is 0% chance Kanye is in consideration

 

yeah I mean with the hate he gets I thought it was much worse..:I can’t say I have a problem w his promotions especially since he’s putting on an independent festival

 

Do we know when the next wave will be announced?

 

20 minutes before the festival is about to start is what I heard.

 

If I'm remembering correctly, they had more artists coming on December 13th.

 

With these Postal Services teases is it possible they could be one of the reunions?

 

It's arguably possible. But that would be a pretty strong deviation from anything Bamboozle has booked in the past (or that they have booked for this year). Yeah, you could say they are "similar" to Steve Aoki or pop artists or whatever... But aesthetically? Completely different animal.

I would put more money on the Postal Service doing something like Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, etc.

EDIT: The leaked Maryland date also indicates the tour is likely going to happen in September. Puts them in play for Riot Fest, maybe? I also know that DCFC was very likely to be headlining a festival in MA that takes place in August... That may have changed. But it lines up.

It would be boring if bamboozle had a lineup like this or if it was this, I'd love to see the other 80% be on the scene, emo, punk side of life

 

I could see them bringing back Skrillex. Charlotte Sands and The Maine could be on here too. But that’s about it for Hangout/Bamboozle crossover

 

Wonder if this is coming today.. very curious who will be announced next. Not necessarily because I want to go (although I could be convinced if it is a strong enough announcement), but mostly for the laughs.

 

If Bamboozle had a line-up like that there would be literally no point for the festival to even exist, TBH. People would be so bummed.

I can't seem to find that date anywhere anymore, but I feel like it had to have been said at some point if I wrote that (but maybe I misread something). Of course, John D says so much inane shit across all platforms it might be hard to track down.

Either way. I'm going to chalk it up to me making a mistake. Sorry about that! It's probably not coming today. They would have been hyping it up on socials.

 

No worries! You would think they would have posted another wave around now to get people hyped enough to buy tickets as holiday gifts, but that would require some critical thinking that John D is not too capable of

 

I could've sworn I read the second wave was December 16th.

 

The fact that a group of die hard music fans in this forum can't even figure out when they are announcing the next wave shows how terrible of a job their marketing team has done..

 

I mean, I'm wearing I read the 13th so... This would make sense too. Haha. So maybe it's Friday.

I can't find the 16th either, anywhere, though. LOL
