I just can’t remember the last time I saw her

 

She's apparently been working Dark a bunch working on this heel character...that apparently hates the refs and was suspended for hitting one?

Its got some real "100 person house show heat" kinda vibes

 

I’m liking Athena’s heel turn. She literally looks like she’s beating the shit out of her opponents.

 

I think we discussed this idea before, but what I think AEW should do or at least toy with is having people on tv on an every other week basis. Example - if Jericho and Death Triangle are on this Wednesday’s episode, then they’re not on next week and in their place will be a Wardlow storyline piece. Then the following week Jericho can be back for a match/segment.

It doesn’t have to be totally cut and dry because then you would have some shows, depending on who’s week it is you may run into weeks with a lot of folks that aren’t as interesting for the fans and viewership suffers, but like others have said - then at least we would see different people and not just the same group over and over again.

And I thought one thing most wrestlers liked about AEW was not having to do shows every single week like WWE. As much as I’m sure everyone wants to be on tv, essentially getting a “week on / week off” could help with avoiding burnout for both the wrestlers and the fans seeing the wrestlers.

 

If AEW wanted to treat everything like a glorified indie show with no focus I would be okay with it, but yo-yoing between having storylines & matches for the sake of them makes the show disjointed if you’re expecting the traditional TV style production. There’s people like Garcia who were a big deal for a month & then just disappear off TV with no explanation or anything. The core fanbase enjoys it though and I think they have enough of those to stay afloat even if maintaining the casual viewers will be a challenge.

Honor Club with a decent layout and better video quality would be dope.

 

Get rid of Dark Elevation and turn it into a one hour weekly ROH show on Honor Club.

 

Get rid of Dark and have them just run ROH out of Universal Studios like old TNA

 

Get rid of all the shows and just do no-ring stuff out of Sue's garage.

I feel like every event this year had some duds, but I'll throw in WrestleMania 38 Night 1 and AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door for best event

Have they been adding more wrestlers to the game? Didn't think Wardlow would have made it in in time

Remember Hook?

 

Revolution 2022 would be such an easy answer to this if they had put Thunder over Britt there. Would have been the ultimate babyface wrestling show...Hook on the pre-show, Eddie getting a PPV win, Wardlows rise and turn on MJF, Mox+Danielson forming BCC, just all nearly perfect if Thunder had also finally vanquished Britt.

Probably still that PPV, even more than Forbidden Door, for me

 

So aew has a tag team called Varsity Blondes AND a tag team called varsity athletes?
