I’ve actually seen 9/10 of these live this year, and I’ll be seeing the last (Taylor) next year!

 

On god I thought my 48k was a lot then I start seeing all my friends around 80-120k and I’m like wtf I suck

 

I thought mine was low compared to others but then I saw that Spotify includes podcast listening time in that so it's not 100% accurate. I use Apple Podcasts

This may make sense, considering I pretty much do 90% of my Spotify listening in my car (offline?).

Also, it says Strangest Faces by Bayside is my No. 1 song, but it says I only listened to it 22 times. I can't tell you how many times I've played new full albums more than 30/40 times this year, so all those songs would have been at least 30/40 listens. Hell, the Weezer EPs alone, I listened to nonstop, just because they were so short. I'm the type of guy when an album comes out, I just keep refreshing it as it finishes. Over and over again.

BUT I did notice that Strangest Faces came on as the first song on a playlist when an album I liked finished (and then goes into a random playlist).

Very strange.

 

I can’t even defend it I think that mostly came from me thinking he was playing Coachella

 

This feels the most accurate one of these has been for me, but also I wish there was more data. Condensing an entire year into five artists is never gonna feel right lol. Excited to pull my last.fm numbers and data at the actual end of the year

 

Pretty spot on.

 

If the Beyoncé album came out any sooner it probably be in my top 5 because that’s a top 5 album contender for me.

Doing discography runs and being a completionist means, of course, someone with an overwhelmingly huge discography is #1!

 

A person on my insta feed logged over 163k minutes, that’s tremendous haha. Granted they’re a photographer and likely have music playing throughout all of their shoots, but if we’re to understand that Spotify cuts off logging data for this feature after October, that’s about 37% of the year spent with music on

 

Took a 4 month break from Spotify while on an Apple Music free trial before switching back. Surprised Arctic Monkeys and Death Cab made it though I did listen to Favourite Worst Nightmare almost exclusively for a week or two. Washed Out is mainly my sleep/flying music.

 

World Impact is probably my favorite song this year.
