Sheesh. Surprising but I’ll be there for that one at least. Seeing them play it in full at their 10 year shows was a great time.

 

Still can't believe it's been almost 8 years since those shows

 

Probs their weakest lineup in years, but still some good acts in there

 

Ummm they got Blur, put Rosalia in a much deserved headlining spot and the techno is on point. This clowns almost all US festivals.

Not to forget fucking Darkside. That VTSS b2b LSDXOXO will be a queer party like no other.

 

Do the guys in Turnstile even have permanent places of residence anymore?

do you think they get their mail shipped to wherever their next festival appearance is?

are their internal clocks even attuned to a particular time zone?

 

I like variety in a fest, but this is just too much. All over the place tonally and generationally.

 

May have to travel to Tulsa for that one.

 

That's a super short run (TWY) and not very kind to me in regards to dates and locations but it just means they have other plans as others have suggested.

Yeah, that Wonder Years tour is in the Midwest the same weekend as LDB so I'll have to pass.

Obviously. I assume the promoters were aware of that when they curated it. Just stating that personally (and I'm sure I'm not entirely alone), that that's not the type of fest for me. I'd prefer to go to 3 fests that were more sonically similar, than a giant one that's all over the place.

 

Soulfly is bringing Bodybox out as an opener this winter. That’s awesome! Great live band!

Soulfly always has openers that are better than they are nowadays. Max at least has good taste.

 

Yea that’s absolutely their goal. Book a highly curated lineup touching indie, techno, pop, hip hop, and other genres. It makes for a fun environment and allows for a lot of discovery, much like Coachella does here.

The euro fests just always outshine the American ones when it comes to critically acclaimed acts.

 

I saw Bodybox open for Acacia Strain and Sanguisugabogg and might have been the set of the night and considering the other bands on the bill that’s a tough thing to do.

 

Am I tripping, or is Sparks playing two days in a row?

 

This will be their third time coming to columbus in a 12 month span. How odd
