Not to dissuade you, but I'm curious why you say this? Are you just not interested in the things that have been announced?

I mean, there's still presumably Zelda, Advance Wars, Fire Emblem, and Metroid Prime among others. Sports Story is finally coming out.

I'm kind of wondering what does or doesn't grab your attention?

 

The only game I'm really interested in is Zelda. It's just not a compelling enough reason to stick with the Switch at this point.

I’m gonna get the deck eventually but I’m so glad I pulled the trigger on the switch lite. I’ve played it sooooo much since I got it 6 weeks ago. And plenty of stuff in the backlog I wanna play and still a few good things left to come out before nintendo moves on.

 

I just wish I had a game that could keep my attention for longer than 5 minutes like smite does

 

I've already purchased Tropical Freeze for two different consoles, so I'm not going to feel bad emulating it.

Steam is the only good platform

 

Yeah the only reasons I'd get something on another platform is if it was on sale or free. Steam for sure holds the majority of my gaming library. tbh it's kind of annoying that Free Games with Prime are split between Amazon Games and Legacy Games. Gamepass subscription is pretty darn cool too tho.

Steam Deck I feel like is only worth it if you either already have or are planning to build a Steam library. I mean, that's obvious. What I guess I'm trying to say is console gamers have access to exclusives AND third party games. So it kinda depends which third party games you want that can be found on Steam but not, for example, Switch.

 

I've had a really lousy time emulating Switch games recently I gotta say. Bayonetta 3 and Xenoblade 3 where a nightmare to play with constant stutters and de-sync issues, and that's on a beefy rig with a 3070.

So yeah, I definitely would want a real Switch again in my life at some point, but at this moment I am not really willing to put up with the graphical shortcomings, so Steam only for me.

 

Players Log: Just crossed the halfway point and have 71/140 achievements in Vampire Survivors. The game is still hands down, one of the most fun and addicting games. All the unlocks keep pushing you and each character you unlock is more fun than the last.
