For all the #GFYTN shit, I can't lie that a Transit reunion would get me there.

    Die rad.

I would imagine Midtown hops on this if Adjacent fest let's them

I highly doubt any of the Adjacent artists will be on the bill. I know radius clauses aren't being enforced the way they used to but... One week earlier in the same city is not happening unless it's like, the bottom band on the bill.

Pinkshift and Incendiary were two of my biggest draws for that entire festival, so thanks for getting my hopes up now

You know what I mean. Both of those bands are notable enough that I doubt they'll be on both.

Thinking of potential headliners for Bamboozle, what are the chances of Twenty One Pilots being one of them?

21 Pilots, Fall Out Boy, The 1975, Panic at The Disco are all headliners that would make sense.

I think we have to assume that Green Day and My Chemical Romance are both in the mix for potential headliners here as well, right?

I could see them having two rock-leaning headliners and one that is more pop (or straight hip-hop).

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

    I think that’s a safe bet

When Adjacent was announced John D said something like “oh you have 2 headliners? That’s cute. We have 9”.

obviously I don’t think he has 9 acts as big as the blink reunion and Paramore, but I have a feeling each night will have a “rock headliner”, a “rap headliner”, and a “pop headliner”.

I imagine if he did that, there would be some days where one genre overcompensates for another. Like one day MCR is the rock headliner, but the rap headliner is just City Morgue. Then another day the rap headliner is Post Malone, but the rock headliner is just New Found Glory.

I'm assuming that he's referring to bigger stage headliners. So, basically... The artist who plays last. The artist who plays just before that artist/closes out the alternate stage. And another artist who closes out another bigger stage. Loosely depending on the size of those artists.

So putting it in Riot Fest 2022 terms: My Chemical Romance, Alkaline Trio, and Portugal the Man were "headliners" on Friday. The Misfits, Yellowcard, and Sunny Day Real Estate were "headliners" on Saturday (not Bad Religion because YC and SDRE are bigger deals). And Nine Inch Nails, Yeah yeah Yeahs, and Ice Cube were Sunday's "headliners."

It's a bit of a stretch but still very much technically accurate.

Still feel Gaslight Anthem feels like a good bet here too

Based on his post about Oz, infinity, and beyond. I can see FOB and Kid Cudi

I can’t imagine them being able to afford Green Day and still have money left over for a good undercard.

my guess is the headliners are MCR, Kid Cudi and Twenty One Pilots.
All big names but who’ve toured the tri state area to death in the last year, so they’ll be cheaper to book.

Fall out boy is actually a good guess as they skipped the tri state area during the Hella Mega Tour due to covid

Does Atlantic City count as tri-state area ?

If you’re counting Pennsylvania and Delaware it’s near A tri state area

Can you imagine if every festival announced a simple first wave lineup reveal so chaotically lmao

That’s why everyone changed to the release most of the lineup and then maybe another annoucement or two full of the bands that have commitments in the area already or are on tour. The way he does it blows and from all the people I have ever talked to annoys everyone.

Bamboozle hints are pretty much the worst:

"Oh, did you hear? A little ferret was cavorting down the street with a crane sipping on pixie stix and iced tea through a swizzle straw. But alas! There was a 311 fire inside awaiting them in the near odd future by the creek! So be on the lookout for news from the creative cattle prods!"

And somehow that would mean Story of the Year, A$AP Rocky, 30 Seconds to Mars, the Bouncing Souls, and Reel Big Fish were all playing.

Haha...totally agree...though all fests do the hints thing nowadays and they all serve the same purpose...get people talking and get people into thinking a hint can mean their favorite artist will be playing the festival
