I didn't hate it and def appreciate the weirdo low-budget Disney Channel original aesthetic but it was just a little uneventful to me. Still glad I watched it!

 

It absolutely falls apart by the end, but I could watch an entire series of Dougie and Satan fucking around during a crisp fall day in a New England town

 

The vibes were good for sure

 

“Disney channel original aesthetic” is the most appropriate way to describe the look of Satans Little Helper hahah.

 

I thought it was a Canadian movie and that really turned me off.

Smile freaked my shit out. It’s far from a perfect film and starts to overstay its welcome, but the scares and atmosphere were spot on. Genuinely dreadful the entire way.

 

@Aaron Mook @OhTheWater Not sure if either of you are gamers but I feel like this game’s vibes would be way up your alley. It’s a bit fucked up, and it’s also way scarier than I anticipated, but it has big SOV and low budget slasher vibes. It’s a bit clunky and I struggled with the first couple sections but then it picks up in a big way.

I just finished it and it was amazing but definitely not for everyone. The controls are purposely frustrating and while at times it’s annoying it really lends itself to some truly terrifying moments. I died a few times because I was so scared that I literally couldn’t handle them and just ran into walls lol. Really special game - the soundtrack is excellent as well. I’d definitely recommend all of you to at least watch some gameplay footage and/or browse Puppet Combo’s website because they definitely know and love a very specific subset of the genre lol

*edit: I should add that there are two or three extremely fucked up visuals that happen in succession. They didn’t ruin the game for me but they definitely cross a line.

How does one play these games? I only have consoles

 

I’m not sure about the others, but Murder House is available for Switch and PS4 & PS5. Just FYI the play through time is probably only 2-3 hours.

Did The Thing and Things last night for our Thingsgiving party. Somehow, The Thing just continues to amaze me. Was super fun watching it with people who hadn't seen it before.

No one made it all the way through Things lmao. Five stars.
