i'm writing a book, leave me alone.

still kind of surprised that after all this time Wyatt hasn't been given a single title reign with any belt. i know he doesn't "need" one, but i think a belt at this point could help add something to him / to his speeches. think of all the people over the last 3 or so years since Bray became Bray that have won titles...

Reigns has been world champion 3 fucking times and is now US champion
Rusev a 2 time US champion
John Cena world champ a time or two and a US champion
Seth Rollins 2 time world champion and US champion
    Finn Balor
    goddamn Rhyno and Heath Slater
    Luke Harper
Daniel Bryan - world champion, INT champ and retired
    Zack Ryder
    Triple H
i think even Rock was champion
    AJ Styles
Sting joined the company, lost at Mania, got hurt and retired.
    fucking Sheamus
    Randy Orton
Ambrose - US champion and world champion
    fucking Kalisto
Alberto Del Rio - and he left for how damn long
Kevin Owens - universal and INT

hell, i think SHIELD formed and split up during this time as well.

all this in the time that Wyatt has been this character and who knows what i'm forgetting.

wow. i didnt watch smackdown tonight but read the results, i'm so proud of them that they had things that made me go "damn...i wish i saw that". the Wyatt/Orton stuff sounds like the first interesting thing they've done this entire feud and i loveeeeeeee title vs career. you have to. like in reality, this is what Ziggler should do if he loses.

Smackdown is 1000% easier to digest. I pretty much watched the whole thing this morning as I was getting ready for work.

I think Mauro makes such a huge difference. I went to RAW live and loved the episode...came back and most people found it pretty meh. I think mediocre commentary really drags down that show because it has no storyline throughout.

But yeah, the extra hour doesnt help when they use it for squash matches

Cruisers had two matches and they still managed to have 2 squashes!

Gulak was offered a training spot at the PC. He turned it down because he still wants to wrestle. Probably wouldn't expect him to win many matches though, because he'll be purely enhancement.

Smackdown is so much better it is insane. I really want them to bring back Bragging Rights. I think it should replace Survivor Series, not in concept but in name, and the elimination tag matches that they've reduced to filler over the last few years can get a new coat of paint as Raw v. Smackdown. 5 v 5 elimination, one for the men, one for the women. Maybe have a few non-title champion v. champion matches. Winning brand gets the true "main event" of Wrestlemania, with their main title closing the show.

This would also start the "Road to Wrestlemania" stuff in November, making Roadblock in December make a microcosm of sense.

Piping in to say that, of course, Smackdown is the wildly better show. Despite Raw having nearly all of my favorite WWE wrestlers, I'm nowhere near as invested in any single storyline as I am in most of Smackdown's. I was excited for the cruiserweights, coming off of the phenomenal CWC but it has not been an exceptionally great start to the division. I still enjoy JeriKO and those two guys remain some of the most entertaining performers but I'm still struggling to care about KO's reign. Smackdown feels unmissable in a way that, well, Raw is the exact opposite of. I always drift off of Raw during football season but I'm barely even compelled to look up matches the next day, let alone the full show. Recaps + occasional matches + PPVs might be the way I go for Raw for now.

How did the Rumble work during the first brand split? Is a certain title specified up front or is it whatever title the winner's show is?

Half from each brand and become the contender for the winner's show.

2004 and 2005 had them choosing which title they wanted to go for.

Thats the thing I hate most about the brand split. The Royal Rumble was booked so well this past year...and now, its gonna be a mish-mash of brands. And for one brand, its gonna be irrelevant as a match.

I wish they would can Fastlane in favor of bringing back Elimination Chamber as a multi-brand PPV. One brand having a chamber match for their title and the other for the number one contendership worked really well and resulted in some spectacular matches that usually allowed for a midcard guy or two to get some shine with an underdog performance.

I really wish Women of Honor had some better talent. Even the girls that look impressive are severely hindered by other women. Its basically just developmental at this point.

The problem is that most facilities cannot support the chamber. Last years PPV was last minute because they happened to have an arena available in Corpus Christi.

Yeah, I remember that being the case due to new scoreboards or something taking up too much real estate. Real shame. The only solution I can think of is having every match in the chamber(not as a chamber match, just with the chamber surrounding the ring), that way they can set it up before fans get there, and take it down when they leave. and eliminate the need to host it above the ring. Would be awful for the live audience to watch through the cage the whole time, though.

Maybe they'll bring back the 40 man rumble so 20 from each brand.

I would hate being at a live show if every match were like that.

My buddy was saying that he is going to Cage of Death and I just cannot imagine that being a fun experience.

I would be fine with a 6 man elimination match or a scramble match for No. 1 contendership for whatever brand doesn't win the Rumble. The Chamber is cool but the draw for me is when it gets down to 2 or 3 guys and the crowd really starts getting into it

Yea the rumble fucking sucks now because of the brand split. A lot of stuff sucks because of the brand split. Oh right....I hate the brand split.
