Yeaaaah I don't know for certain what the reasoning there would be, but obviously the implication is that he had a weird result/sample and is now being watched like a hawk. Really weird.

 

He’s been tested 51 times this year compared to Usman’s 15 times.


I’d definitely say they found something weird and kept going back to see if it popped up again

Max/Arnold on the Usman/Leon card makes all the sense

 

You’ve gotta match up two of Arnold, Josh and Yair. Those two fight for either number one contender or an interim and the one that’s left out fight Max. Max can’t be in a position where a win gets him Volk again.

 

What’s really unfortunate is that Arnold and Yair both won in part due to injury and a lot of people thought Kattar beat Josh.

& that’s why Volk is going up. It’s not that he’s cleared out the division, there’s no clear option.

 

Ariel made it seem like Yair/Josh was the #1 contender fight and Dana said (lol) no interim for now. I think Allen/Max is the fight to make.

 

If it’s Josh/Yair then definitely Arnold/Max. Surely he wouldn’t have to fight again if he got past Max.

 

I suffered through that Anderson boxing match. He lost. But won 5 rounds to 3 to pretty much everyone with a brain

Anddddd I’m leaning Alex. I think we’re going to see a flash KO. Izzy has started to fight safer and safer over the last few years and I think he gets caught while moving backwards. He’s fighting a dude that’s taller than him with almost identical reach and someone that’s going to outweigh him quite a bit come fight night

 

I will say from watching a lot of Alex’s glory fights he’s really bad at defending low kicks. And I can definitely see Izzy beating his leg up and avoiding the big shot to take a decision

 

I would love for a huge shakeup to happen, but I also wouldn't be surprised if Izzy just picks at him for them entire fight or makes it really boring and clinches/grapples him. I don't know, I guess I'm leaning Izzy just because he's (successfully) dealt with more varied threats in MMA over the years so he'll find a way to win (even though Alex is arguably the better pure striker).
