Just found out we're having a boy. I'm so excited!

 

Congrats! Now you gotta start with the name picking!

When are y'all due?

 

Due Valenine's Day, and he will be named Winston Charles.

 

That's a really strong, awesome name.

 

I brought this up in the relationship thread, but I suppose it goes here instead. I'm looking for baby names too. The wife wants Beckett. For a boy or a girl. And I really don't know how I feel about that.

 

I think Beckett is a cute name but that could be my old crush on William Beckett coming through

/not a parent but I lurk this thread for cute kids stories.

 

Well if you know what's best for you...listen to your wife haha.

But seriously that names not too terrible

 

I like it - for either a boy or a girl.

 

My wife and I debated our son's name for months. We made a list of about 15 names and could never agree on one. We didn't name my son until about an hour after he was born. We finally picked a name, that was about 9th or 10th on the list - and one that we never really discussed that much. Kind of funny how it worked out.

Hudson Nicholas.

 

I like it, but you have to look at nick names, like if it's a girl she might be Becky, or just Beck if it's a boy - so if neither of you like that, it's something to consider. I wish I remember the name my wife and I had, because we both liked it and one of our parents said, "oh how cute we can call him ____" and it was terrible so we scratched that out real quick.

 

YEP. My wife and I went through a huge list of names and once we started thinking of nicknames other people might use we cut that list down real fast. Our son's name is Ephram (named him after the character on the show Everwood which we both loved) and it's a fairly hard one to nickname. Some of the ladies at my wife's daycare have taken to calling him just "E" which is fine I guess. His middle name is my name though, which is Timothy. So his first two initials are E.T.

Some people seem to think that's funny and run with the E.T. jokes and now I realize there's no way not to doom him.

 

For us once we found out it was a boy my only stipulation was I didn't want something TOO common but not something super weird either. She kept insisting on William but I don't like that at all nor Will. We ended up with Ryker.

Also I like how coming up with a name and corresponding nickname is actually a thing because I always thought I was weird for wanting my child to have a nickname since I never had one haha!

My boys names are Ryker, Treyson, and Kyser...people seem to like them. Just found out we're prego with #4 (finally done) and our girl name is Skyra or Kynlee...It better be a girl.

I wanna have 1 more but I'm nowhere near the zone of being able to make that happen haha

 

I'm okay with one, but my wife says she enjoyed being pregnant and wants to be a surrogate. I told her one of the reasons I don't want another is because of how god awful she was when she was pregnant. How'd she take that? Not very well.

It's funny cause my wife's pregnancies were all flawless. No discomfort, no sickness, but with this one she's been miserable. I tell her from a non qualified perspective that it'll be worth it when a girl pops out and then I get shunned for the next however long she feels like...

 

What if it's a boy?

 

Ryker came from an elementary school crush my wife had growing up (I know, I Know) and she always wanted it for her first boy...luckily I loved it too. Treyson was an old clients kids name, and Kyser is something we heard together from some TV show or something that we both liked right away. We like unique, but not weird names...I had at least 3 other Chris' in classrooms growing up and hated it.

 

Then she's on her own. There's been talks of a gender reveal party and I said no way since I don't want my reaction on camera if it IS a boy.

 

My wife had Hyperemesis during her pregnancy, she was painfully ill almost the entire 9 months. Most woman get a certain amount of morning sickness but We had to go to the ER several times for her to get IVs because she'd get so dehydrated from throwing up. On top of that, she had raging hormones. I used to call it Monster Mode.

I definitely don't miss that, haha.

 

My wife was perfectly fine throughout her pregnancy honestly. Never had morning sickness, no noticeable difference in moods or anything. Just tired constantly during 1st trimester and back/hip pain during the 3rd
