Three Cheers doesn't sound good? First I'm hearing of this

There’s def a rough around the edges quality to it but it’s intentional

How are you listening to it? The original CD release has always sounded great but I can't vouch for anything else

I feel like you guys are pranking me lol it's one of my favorite albums of all time but it sounds muffled at times and when Gerard belts higher notes you can hear slight crackles in the mic

But yeah, I use YT Music which I know people say has a fair amount of compression, but I don't find it as noticeable in most other music I listen to

It sounds a little rough sometimes but tbh I love that.

  8. I feel like your headphones/speakers or files are maybe messed up … album has a raw feel to it, but it’s pretty damn cleanly produced, at the time considered “over produced” cause of Benson’s sheen and Costley’s mix. “Bullets” on the other hand sounds like your description.

Haha okay fair enough, I can admit that I must be nuts :-p

I have always weirdly felt like Ghost of You sounds light years better than the rest of the album though, almost like it was recorded by someone else

I really enjoy Three Cheers much more than Black Parade. I said my peace.

  12. I’m not pranking you I swear haha but if you asked me to pick the best-sounding album from “the scene” it’d be close to the top of my list

There’s intentional vocal distortion at times.. a lot of records use that though, and I think it adds a nice bite to the vocal.

I did always find the overall sound of the studio "venom" pretty hilarious. It always sounds like thrash played by toddlers to me
