These are the only movies worth watching in 3D

If your eyes and head don’t respond well to the 3d movie format fair enough.

For anyone who’s just ambivalent to 3d, though (which is probably most normal movie-goers, lol), this really is the exception to the rule. Wanna make the trip to a bigger screen, too. Should be a spectacular *cinematic* experience.

Eh. Wasn’t impressed or letdown by the trailer. Just kind of indifferent. No feelings at all. I can’t help but think that maybe, and that’s a big maybe, I’d be more excited for this if it released half a decade sooner. I just feel no connection to these characters.

I'll never forget somehow scheduling a vacation there and going on opening day of Pandora and seeing the absolute INSANE line to get in starting at the entrance of the park. Somehow still got on FoP 3 times that day with minimal waiting.

  15. I wish I wasn't so cynical towards this movie, but like the first one, I feel the plot is just a vehicle to showcase the tech and 3D, which makes it less appealing

It is fascinating to see how reception to the first film has changed. It has all of the "Dances With Wolves-FernGully-Pocahantas" detractors and the oft-repeated "does anyone remember the main character?" critique, but after a decade of increasingly bland superhero movies and Star Wars films it is seen as a unique artistic vision.

I am not ready to be an evangelist for the first film yet but I am curious to see what Cameron has done because there must be some value for such a talented storyteller to sink basically the majority of his career into these films.
