    The Takedown. What an opener.

Two Weeks From Twenty is easily my least favorite YC song of the OA-LaS run

Lights and Sounds is still my favorite Yellowcard record. really always hoped for 10 years they would do an acoustic version of that one. could have been beautiful with more added piano and strings.

I couldn't even remember what song you were talking about, so I listened to it just now. Ugh.

I consider today the official start of "Yellowcard Week" so, here we are.

Paper Walls is todays album of choice.

I was hoping for this too, but they had just released OAA and then LAS so it was too much at that time. I'm sure they considered it.

One of my favorite Yellowcard songs. I love the guitar and violin solo.

Just finished listening to Paper Walls again. Man is that album fantastic. Still my favorite YC album. Also, Bombers is a really good b-side and I think it should've been included on the album. I'm hoping that it's one of the b-sides they play on their final tour (I would be so happy if they played bombers and Three Flights Down)

I love two weeks from twenty and I love when people over/misuse words like "unquestionably"

It's pretty clear he meant it's unquestionable to him, as in he's never questioned that it's their worst song. Doesn't do much good to pick apart a pretty innocuous post

    like you're doing now?

okay I get what you mean (sort of) but every single time l&s gets brought up he bluntly dismisses the fact that other people feel differently than he does, like not even in a "i I think you're wrong" way but in a "there's no way anyone could possibly think that" way. there's not been a single time anyone has brought up l&s in recent years without him saying some variation of that and it gets very annoying after a while so I'm being annoying about it as well, not sorry

Listened to Paper Walls today. Yep, still their best record. The stretch from Date Line to the end of the album is sublime, and that is without mentioning Keeper (which may be YC's best song) and the Takedown. Such an incredible album, really enjoyed sitting down today with a good pair of headphones and listening.

I think "Two Weeks From Twenty" is great. "Dear Bobbie" is the only Yellowcard song I flat out don't like from One For The Kids onwards.

Look, I don't want a negative vibe in this thread this week. I thought it was obvious that my post reflected my opinion and my opinion only, but in case it didn't, I've deleted it. Let's leave it at that. I won't talk about Lights & Sounds going forward.

    Guys, it's WYTTSY day!

Taking a step back, I have such a great memory from around the time when the album was coming out. I remember being so excited when the video of LP popped up essentially confirming their return, and tracking the whole process leading up to the record.

I saw Yellowcard several days before the album release at a one-off at a warehouse in PA. The show was amazing and I picked up WYTTSY at the show, and popped it into my CD player on the ride home.

I will never forget the first time I heard The Sound of You and Me.

That record was the soundtrack to my summer that year -- one of the best of my life (I was 21) -- I will never forget it.

Today will be special listening for sure.

Also, the amount of memories I have attached to individual songs on this album is nothing short of incredible. The way music can take you back to a certain time and place really is amazing.

Awesome, and agreed. I'm glad everyone's doing this with me!

WYTTSY is one of their least exciting albums to me unfortunately. I would say it's even with Lift a Sail in terms of enjoyment I get out of it. However, I lovvee the Sound of You and Me and Be the Young. With You Around is a great summer song as well.

WYTTSY is a fine collection of 10 songs but it doesn't work well as an album imo

Hide and Soundtrack are two of my favorites.

When You're Through Thinking... is one of their weaker efforts, just because it's not as cohesive. All of the songs are good, though, and it brings back some pretty powerful memories for me too. Still love that record.

Do you mean in terms of the overall flow of the album? I can understand that. I think all of the songs individually are great, though. I find myself going back to this album a lot.
