The spotify pre-saves are funny to me. I'm not sure I've ever not heard a song before the pre-save goes into effect lol.

It’s really cool people sort of discovers this may be a thing and it may end up being a thing. Remember when a”someone” said there would be no new material during a lockdown….well the band may have went over and beyond if what people think is gonna happen happens.

    even if it’s a single…neato

...I never said they weren’t recording. I said they wouldn’t release anything unless/until they had a path to tour it.

They did, and they toured it.

I think all we know is this song title was listed on the deluxe vinyl, and it’s most likely a new song.

My Bet is companion album. I heard there was a 10 song album as part of a deluxe MMOG release... IDK, don't really care as long as we get new music, the more the better. MO has a flawless discography, no other band IMO has not only been consistent but continues to put out their best album every release.

They resume the final leg of the tour the day after it releases. Maybe they're gonna play it live?

You being wrong meant we got music when we all didn’t expect. That’s a good thing to be wrong about. Excited for a new song. Wonder how this will all fit in the grand scheme of trilogies.

Obviously this is a single, but do we know if this is from something ‘more’?

I honestly surprisingly don’t know a ton. I know it’s related to Black Mile and Million Masks. I do not believe it is just alternate versions of songs. I don’t believe it’s the start of a brand new full LP and era.

My best guess is it is an EP of leftover songs from BM and TMMOG that didn’t make it into the records. Such as I Know How To Speak.

I assumed it was only related to MMOG since that's where the titles were listed. Were some of them previously seen in the Black Mile era? Also 10 titles feels like a companion/bside album at the very least

I lowkey don't care for b-side albums. The conversations usually go either:
    - "I can see why this was left off 'X' album"
    - "Why on earth was this left off 'X' album!?"

Alkaline Trio’s Remains, Lagwagon’s Let’s Talk About Leftovers, No Use For a Name’s Bsides and Rarities and NoFX’s 45 or 46 Songs That Weren’t Good Enough To Go On Our Other Records come to mind as few solid Bsides albums.

Also, in a different way, Thrice Deeper Wells is a nice little bside EP.

I’m totally fine with bands releasing these. Some some don’t fit an album per day, but are still really good and need to be released. Bsides albums and deluxe versions allow for that to happen. More new music the better.
