    Billboard:

After just its first week-and-a-half of availability, Blink-182‘s “Edging” is No. 1 on Billboard‘s Rock & Alternative Airplay chart.

Random but kind of fits here: Billboard has to have the worst website on the planet. Every single part of it is a disaster. (except the part where it shows Edging at #1).

Hell yeah, congrats to the band! I can't wait for them to keep up the momentum and share the next banger! :-)

I have to confess, when I read the title I got excited thinking they dropped a new song, or were hinting at a new song (yeah, I know... I'm a derp)

That being said though... Congrats to blink-182!

Performing better than The Rock Show did, which is blowing my mind in a good way.

I put it slightly above "Up All Night" and slightly below "After Midnight" in terms of post-2005 Blink w/Tom singles, but way worse (more boring) than anything pre-2005.

I think the song's success is more a reflection of how stale the rock charts have been combined with lots of casual rock fans hearing Tom is back and jumping on the bandwagon as it seems like Tom's return is bigger news now than it was in 2009 when the band themselves reunited.

And I think THAT might be because rock was a lot healthier and more mainstream in 2009 than it is today so, with a lack of seemingly anyone notable outside of Foo Fighters on the rock charts today, the casual rock fans of the last two decades are embracing anything they recognize.

Ha the idea that people are more excited about a Blink 182 "reunion" after Neighborhoods versus after Self-Titled blows my mind, though.

Just my probably incorrect theories, but it fascinates me.

It’s overproduced. It’s going to sound terrible live.

Unlike most of their songs which sound superb live lol

It's transcending the rock charts tho--it hit 61 on the hot 100, which is probably the first time they've done that since 2004.

I think Blink has come out on top in terms of cultural relevance, with of wave of mainstream artists that reference their sound and Travis Barker's ascension to A-lister celebrity.

In raw numbers? Or just on that particular chart? Because it's not like alternative music is as popular as it was when The Rock Show came out...

    Hey, blink-182 sounds great live.

As long as you isolate them to literally just Travis.

What a random reply. Neither your original post or my reply said anything about the song being performed live.
