That's fair, although its only one date, compared to the three of this year.

Obviously Blink right now have an insane pull, and Greenday always will, but the lineup doesn't have the same cut-through, in my opinion. Certainly seen no friend discuss this at all, compared to when this year's dropped and I was seeing it everywhere on Insta etc. I've not seen this line-up anywhere except Chorus.

Just wait until they announce the additional days and begin to market it, after 2022 is over

IMO next year's lineup is much stronger. Not only because Green Day and Blink are twice as big as this year's headliners, but also because a majority of the undercard for next year rarely tours anymore (ie Something Corporate, Yellowcard, Good Charlotte, Fenix Tx, Finch, Academy Is).

I also suspect they're waiting for this year's to be finished before they announce a 2nd and 3rd date. Given how next year's lineup is 15 acts shorter, the announcement of additional dates will probably come with lineup additions.

  4. My friends and I were also thinking about that, and what else they could try.
15 acts shorter, but 7 more i want to see next year than this year. so conflicts will definitely be happening, which is already bumming me out.

How do you become a music journalist and also think cancelling an all-dayer due to high winds is "strange". Jesus wept.

Damn. I'm still thinking about Sunday. What a fucking fun day. I had saturday tickets and had zero confidence it was going to happen due to the forcast. I bought a sunday ticket as "insurance" friday night for like $70. I know others weren't as fortunate.

From finally being able to see TSL, AG Saosin, AFI, and the Used after listening to them for twenty years to witnessing the most punctual set times I’ve ever seen at a concert - it was worth the hype and wait.

And to top it off, I was able to answer my life-long question of “what happens when a porta potty reaches its capacity?”

Me and my friend went to the first couple of sets on Friday where that cursed When We Were Hungry festival was supposed to be (they had some of the bands play there) before we went to the Strange 90's show.

On our way out we went to say Hi to the guys from Picturesque (they know us well by now) and I also wanted to say hi to another band that played there that I liked (Our Sorrows). I spoke to them for a few minutes and their manager joined the conversation. He mentioned that he one was in another band and I asked which one and he said "From First To Last" and I was like "WHAT?". Turns out that guy was Phil, the original singer from FFTL that was replaced by Sonny (He mentioned he did something very stupid, got in prison and was replaced). He said that he is now in a company that manages some big artists from the scene (Underoath for example) and they are trying to put a surprise set together for Saturday (the day that got cancelled). We may never know what that surprise would have been but it was really cool talking to someone for a few minutes and then realizing who he was.

  13. Their main songwriter/guitarist died a few years ago, so that’s probably why.

  14. He had left the band a few years before that though. I just don't know if there's real demand for Transit shows anymore.

Transit would seem much more of a Riot Fest/Bamboozle get than this. There isn’t a ton of demand for them. Only way could see that happening is if they did a year that was super heavy on the 2009-2015 era of pop punk.

Can Polar Bear Club do one off shows or is his voice completely shot?

  17. I would kill for a PBC or Swellers reunion.

Do you remember what the Boys Like Girls song sounded like? Did it sound like their classic sound?

  19. Like a modern update on the self-titled album, yeah. Did not sound like anything from album 2 or 3.

honestly very surprised to see such positive feedback on avril - i was super disappointed in her Firefly set. You could tell she was lip synching like, 90% of it and had little to no stage energy. maybe an off day? but we were happy to be in the moment hearing the songs but, were very underwhelmed.

Avril was a Top 5 for me for sure. Don't care about DCFC or Underoath so it's a bummer. Will Be at All American Rejects now during that slot
