EDGING is definitely their most proper single since Untitled-era.

Bored To Death is a very strong song, but this new one just takes me to when Feeling This came out.

The song is also from 2016. Had to be quite a surprise to him to end up at the top of the charts (I assume we have tik tok to thank). Pretty cool to see an 8123 release doing so well

it's so crazy how tiktok rules the charts these days, I am sure you are right that is the reason a 2016 song is at number tone

Imagine the Hot Ones episode was recorded before he even got the blink gig considering he said Travis called him like a week before the video had to be done or something crazy like that.

my gf last night said it reminded her of a 90’s sitcom theme song. I think she had full house in mind.

I’m still massively underwhelmed by Edging. It feel like they went the way of the reboot for this one. Just thrown together with some cliches. I think there will be such better songs in the new record whenever it comes out. This first song was about getting attention and playing it safe to announce their return and sell tickets. If people are loving this song, I think once the album gets closer and they put out a second single it’ll be more representative of them and where they are in 2022/2023 (I hope).

Stressful day at work. Immediately came home and threw on the 45 of They Came to Conquer Uranus. So many memories tethered to these songs.

Are we really against people giving opinions in a discussion thread?
As I said before, maybe I’ll like it more in the context of an album. I just think it’s gonna end being a song near the bottom of the album for me. My expectations are “the best is yet to come” with time for these guys to work together and get really personal and push themselves now that the reins are off with a single out.

I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the quality of the song itself, but this new single is the first one since Untitled that actually gave me a rush of nostalgia and brought me back to prime blink. Neighborhoods through Nine didn't really do that, and I kinda forgot what it felt like. It's got that fun feeling to it and actually feels like the guys were a united force.

We've had fun, cohesive songs since the hiatus and we've had Tom since the hiatus... but not both at the same time.

I agree with .k. This just was pretty lackluster. More underwhelming than Up All Night. And that’s saying something.
