New single, it truly is a good month to be a blink fan.

 

i'd love it if they released new singles for this album really fast. like 1 to 2 weeks between songs. that would be fun.

 

I'd like it too but it makes the album release kind of a buzzkill. Seems like over half the songs on Lifeforms were released prior to the album dropping... was still excited but we only got 4 or so new songs.

 

If i had my way, it would be two pre-release singles, then nothing else till the album release. It's really difficult in this day and age to fully avoid pre-release singles completely thanks to tiktoks and ads. But yeah, another song before the album release would be awesome.

 

Listening to the Enema demos right now and they're pretty darn interesting overall. Overall, they are singing so much more.... boring (they are demos, I get it), but for the most part the song structures are still pretty similar. A few notable differences, like Man Overboard is almost a minute longer and it definitely feels longer. Makes sense it didn't make the cutin the state it was during the demos. Life's So Boring is a cool instrumental, too bad they never made it into a full song

I imagine contractually, there's a lot in there around commitments, timings, expectations, etc.

I reckon a lot of this was ironed out when they starting working together again a few months ago. I imagine Mark wouldn't walk on eggshells around Tom like the first reunion, and would have been a lot more direct this time when it comes to the band, touring, recording, etc.

Not to say they aren't all having a good time together, but I'd dare say there's a lot more set in stone without risk this time around.

 

I hope they release a few singles but only if it’s not a 10 track album, that was my biggest gripe with Lifeforms. 6 songs out of 10 before was overboard

 

I want them to release 6 singles and then those 6 end up being the bonus tracks on the deluxe version of the album. And the actual full album is all brand new stuff.

“I Won’t Be Home for Christmas” is perfect and that new Xmas song felt like they were just trying to recreate that magic..

 

Yeah, and when Tom doesn’t want to be there, he has a limited number of Tom-substitutes he can tag in - “Tonight, subbing in for Tom, Tommmmmmmmm Waits!”

 

For some reason, TOYPAJ was my least favorite Blink album (ignoring pre-Dude Ranch and post-Neighborhoods stuff) for the longest time. With the hype of the reunion, I've been relistening to their discography endlessly and I'm really starting to fall in love with this album like I never did before. Not sure what's up with that.

 

watching that reading 2014 performance Mark talked about. Honesty for Tom standards around this time he sounds pretty good.
