Yeah I’m not crazy about this on first listen. It might be a grower though. There’s some solid tracks but also several that are just kinda there.

 

It’s way better than Reputation and Lover imo. Think both of those had way more, and more obvious, misses.

 

first listen: really strong first half, but it’s obvious from the get-go that this is NOT Folklore/Evermore. That will disappoint some people. But if you liked any of her work prior to those, I can’t imagine being upset by this. Very positive first listen and I agree that it sounds like a much better version of Reputation and Lover, although Vigilante Shit really took me out of it for a few minutes. Not a very good song.

 

Lover definitely fluctuates more in terms of quality, but it has some major standouts while “just there” is how I feel about pretty much all of this so far

 

Reputation is in my top 2, so I'm definitely curious, haha. Lover is in my bottom 3. I'm sure there will be a lot of listening no matter what, it's just hard to tell from the reactions thus far as opposed to how immediate everyone fell for folklore/evermore.

Yeah it’s not even close to folklore or evermore, I’d believe you if you told me this was a 2014-19 b-sides album. None of it struck me as bad, it’s just….there

 

Midnight Rain kinda sounds like it was inspired by the 1975

 

The sexy baby line really is such a weird one, haha. I kind of love it.

It's a good album. Nothing I really dislike on here. Definitely agree that's top heavy.

 

This is pretty good, but nothing truly stands out (yet; growing is a possibility).
