Howie is usually a bpa guy idk if he would reach, especially when youre picking pretty low. Maybe a receiver steps up, its still early.

 

It's possible, I mean DGB was looked at as a future WR1 in the draft. Who knows?

 

He hasn't done much but he's literally gonna have every opportunity. I'm surprised they don't just throw more at him when they're blowing away teams to try to get into a groove. At the same time I'm not a big fan of him as a person so if he never succeeds oh well

Exactly this. Maybe DGB becomes that but I doubt it. They are high on him and are easing him into the fold and he seems to be doing a litttle more each week so we will see.

But yes, they lack a TRUE #1 WR. They have a bunch of young guys with promise but I think their ceilings are all very good #2s. Jordan Matthews could be a #1 but his hands need to improve and he also needs to be better in press coverage situations given his size.

If they don't go the route of drafting a legit WR early or through free agency, something they still lack is a true speedster to help spread the field a bit *cough DJax cough*

I'll take one John Ross Jr. in the draft, please sir (if we don't get Alshon or a legit big man early in the draft).

 

which has made me wonder forever why baseball stadiums have not always been in domes / had retractable roofs. i know, it's expensive and technology or whatever the fuck, but it would be like NBA games being played outside. makes no sense, especially when the season starts in winter basically and gets weathered out the first few weeks a lot.

 

Would it be crazy if the eagles signed djax after this season? Lol

They did steal Bryce Treggs from the 9ers practice squad a few weeks ago who is a smaller speedster who also went to Cal so that kinda makes him DeSean Jackson 2, right?

I'm sure djax will get a lot of offers from teams since he hasn't been a distraction to the potatoes, wont be for a ton of $. Kind of funny when you look back at the chip debacle. Though it is interesting since him and maclin have not been nearly as good since that chip year so it saved them lots of $

 

I think Maclin would be good still if he was in Philly still. I miss him.

Yeah, he knew he wouldn't be ultra-productive in KC. He chose there because it's home. Good on him. Seems like a good guy regardless and he's hugely important to that offense regardless.

 

Marshall got to go to New York to film his tv show like he always wanted. He's had locker room/off the field issues as everyone knows, so I don't really blame Pace for dealing him.

Maybe the White pick was questionable..but its really early still. He's incredibly gifted physically, if he puts it together he can be great. The pick also could have been made thinking that Alshon wasn't going to be on the team in two years, because that could be the case.

Its always easy to judge draft picks after they happen and say they could have drafted someone else. They could have kept Marshall and drafted Gurley, to replace Forte. Or anybody else. But Cutler and Marshalls relationship allegedly had deteriorated.

On a side note, the Bears will have 60-70 mil to spend, depending on what they do with Cutler. Hopefully they put it to good use. A tackle, a safety, a CB.

 

Kevin White has played 3 games, lets hold off on calling him a bust.

But he was a bad pick. You don't pick a receiver when it's not one of your top 5 needs and you just shipped one of the best WR's in the league.

 

Which is it? Did they ship a top receiver or did they not need one? It literally cannot be both.

Eddie Royal has been pretty good this year. Other than that they have the unknown in White and...a bunch of STers.

Marquess Wilson could have potential, but I also thought that about Earl Bennett soo.....

 

By the eye test I think White can be good. A first rounder quality, maybe not, but still good

 

Remember there was concern of Kevin white learning pro offense route trees before drafted. I give it till next year. Unfair to judge a guy coming off a really bad injury in his first year. People also forget how good rookie wrs were the year before that and that certainly helped gms. Idk who you wanted them to take instead, Andrus peat?

 

Can we just stop and realize that Minnesota is probably the best defense in the NFL right now AND they passed on Marcus Peters? I was upset when they passed on him before but now...man.

 

2014 was the best WR class in years, maybe of all time. And 2015 was a bad class that was drafted with the context of the previous draft.

 

Trae waynes isnt bad at all but yea Peters is pretty damn good. Maybe the chiefs felt they could handle Peters better.

Wayne isn't bad at all. But Peters was the clear cut best corner in that class. Hell, in the last few classes I thought.
