Dan from The Wonder Years said that their booking agent told them they'd gotten on to a festival in Las Vegas called When We Were Young, with no particular details about who else was playing, they just kind of assumed it was a festival thrown by The Killers based on the location and the name. It was only on the day of the announcement that they learned who else was playing. I'd imagine this was a similar scenario for everybody else besides maybe MCR and Paramore.

That also supports the idea around dynamic pricing and while artist are opting in, it's probably more of a management decision. There is just no way three individual band members can be personally consulted on EVERY item in an operation this big. THAT being said, hopefully they and other acts are starting to take note of this and come up with a different plan.

Yeah this is basically what I ordered and they are not price gouged “diamond tickets” :s then add a bunch of fees to get $939 for two. Crazy prices for standard price seating. (Aisle seat is $20 upcharge)

Hawthorne Heights said something similar. Basically were told they were on a fest that MCR was headlining so they were all in from that alone ha.

Out of pure curiosity, I logged in to the Denver date and the site invited me to enter a line to enter another line to look at ticket prices. I am banking on getting tickets online a month before or showing up the day of, paying for the cheapest seats, and getting bumped up to fill empty seats. The only way I will be truly bummed is if the show completely sells out, the album is amazing and they're doing 3-5 live debuts in the setlist. I can live with catching a pro shot show online though.

I got bit by the aisle seat thing, too, for my show. Two of my tickets were $180 before fees and the other two were $200.

Someone explain to me what ‘aisle seat’ offed is. Like to be at the end of the row?

Rest assured, the day is coming when some act will sell 100% of the seats in an arena, even those totally behind the stage, and just label them as "sound-only" seats.

Is anyone else here not into seats anyway? Of the hundreds of gigs I've gone to, I reckon only 5% of those were seated, and they were probably in weird venues like churches etc. Seated arena gigs are just absolute no-go for music for me. Would rather not go, as weird as that sounds. If I'm seeing someone in a big crowd like that, its at a festival, where you can stand or sit as you like.

    Kids... Lawn.... Shotgun...

It was discussed, waaaaay back there, that unfortuantely, some of us are umm... old.. And cannot stand that long (Warped tour with my kids did me in, for sure, when i was in the Sum 41 Pit....)

I just cannot stand anymore like that :(

But I get what you are saying.

I prefer seats. Old man who doesn’t like to stand for long periods, and short so it helps see the stage.(never fails if I am standing most likely someone as tall as @bachna84 gonna be standing in front of me)

That being said I’ll stand just like the next guy if it’s the option
