Obviously a joke. If anything we get more dates announced that sell out quick and have the same issues lol

Look....if you want to be in the GA Pit section you're going to be parting with a good deal of cash. Probably $400/ticket or so, more if you live near one of the major markets. To merely get in the building, I still imagine it's going to be three figures but depends on where you want to sit. The days of going to hot events for $60 are long gone.

Lots of interesting stuff in here, I definitely assume those songs will never see the light of day lol

God damnit. Just spent $939 after fees on two tickets Section 2 (floor) in Chicago. Sheeeeeesh. Could’ve waited to see where prices settled next year, but that was non-platinum pricing so I jumped on it. They just had a $20 upcharge for being aisle seats.
I’m just worried if this’ll be a good view. I usually get pit for shows I really want to go see but this is a seated area where it would normally be GA

Same. I'm not even concerned with ticketmaster's bullshit today. I'm going to enjoy myself and just get tickets in a few months.

I’ve only seen this for platinum tickets before.

This was the unfortunate wake up call I needed to cool it on the number of shows I go to moving forward. Not just expensive, but stressful, disappointing, etc.

Imagine if venues switched to an will-call only system, where you need to show the credit/ID card of the original purchaser to get in.

It'd be a nightmare to get checked in, but this scalping nonsense would be a non-issue

Nice article read - and what we thought, really - that there is no in fighting - all friends, all good.

As for the scalping/bots - if they all bought tickets high, say Stub Hub has 1000 of them... That they paid $600 each for...

Would they even care if they sold those for a loss (say they sold them day of show at $300 each). Since they make a fortune on all the other shows.... ?

Looking at the Chicago shows and at least half of the tickets are up for resale. Sunday is already looking more reasonable - in the upper $100's. Still more than I want to pay for a nosebleed seat, but it makes me feel better that these prices will crash in the coming months. Saturday is still insane though

I think I've bought tickets to exactly one show for myself in the last three years, and it was last month at a smaller venue. Still spent $100 on two tickets, but that seemed fairly cheap. I thought "Oh, will-call only. That sounds great. I wish more places did that."

Oh, except I tested positive for COVID the day beforehand so we couldn't end up going, nor could I resell the tickets or even find a way to give them away lol.

Highly doubt we’ll ever hear any of those songs they worked on/finished, but I’d love if we did lol

Yeah he definitely has it out for pop punk and Emo. Most bands of that ilk he gives a poor review for. And if it’s not some fucked up noise music, he’ll give it a 2 out of 10 and give the noise music 11 out of 10 lol

Yup, would be dope to eventually get a NINE reissue with the bonus EP

I thought this too but if you reapplied the filter to not show platinum or resale I got a pair for 120 each.

Sunday. I know I’ll probably end up regretting it and see resale pit tickets cheaper for Saturday later on too lol. The pressure was on and I checked out.

DE4E26DA-B7E5-4514-A405-FA3B2513B9E9.jpeg A skiba line if i’ve ever seen one! He seems happy for the band but slightly weirded out tom posted the private message publicly. It was a weird move to blast a private message to the world vs. having a private conversation and then writing a separate public post. Either way glad everyone is cool and the icing on the cake is getting Skiba on stage for a song at some point. Hope the new blink and AK3 albums are amazing.

Still really want to hear those songs post-NINE. Both the EP, and the classic Blink-sounding songs they wrote in quarantine. Unless Matt comes back I doubt they will ever see the light of day though.

Cool read with the Skiba interview.
I dont fault Tom at all for sharing that text. The conspiracy theories that were bubbling over addressing Matt were getting annoying, and any blanket statement from the band would've just gotten dissected by reddit nuts.

I did get annoyed at Matt's (incorrect) comments about WWWY being announced before bands were booked. Just because the artists were unaware doesnt mean contracts werent signed. That's why they have booking agents. If anything the bands knew they had some Vegas dates on their tour routing but unaware that it was gonna be for some huge nostalgia fest.

Skiba's comments were about what I figured. It definitely made it sound like he's been out of the loop with anything blink-related for the last couple of years though (as a lot of us assumed), but he didn't sound annoyed about it. More or less sounded like he knew they were sort of "back" with Tom for a bit now and was more like "Okay cool, let me know if you need me".
