This makes me very happy. I'm glad someone else can experience this obscure gem all these years later!

Another hidden gem. I remember hearing this buzz about this band at Warped '03. Never got a chance to catch their set and they broke up shortly after. I did pick up a copy of the cd and was hooked. I haven't listened to this in ages (it's not on Spotify). But songs like "In The Air" and especially "Inexpectation" (one of my all time favorite songs) still hold a special place.

    FFO: early Jimmy Eat World

If you're into the whole Mainstream Alt Rock / Post Grunge on the late 90s / early 00s. This is a jam. The song "Eighteen" was such a jam of mine when this came out. The singer Aaron Bruno now fronts AWOLNATION (who I don't listen to lol).

  5. Yes, I was a massive fan of this album when it was released. Saw these guys play on a side stage at a Weezer show when they were touring Maladroit.

Bruno's next band after this (Under the Influence of Giants) was also incredible. But I am not much into AWOLNATION either haha

Okay Under the Influence of Giants is actually great!

How does one go from 2 great bands, to absolute hot garbage and become bigger than your previous outings...?!

Haven’t heard anyone mention them since probably 2009, but every once in a while I remember The Ting Tings are a band. Been revisiting their discography today and their first few records are fun as fuck.

  17. This is an extreme shot in the dark but for months I have been trying to remember a band's name. They were definitely super tiny, think I downloaded their album on FrostWire one song at a time circa 2006-07 lol. I remember the album cover had a kind of cartoonish drawing of a highway on it going through the desert with a big cactus, lots of purple and orange. Music was kind of Limbeck-ish, pop punk with a hint of twang to it?

If that rings any bells with anyone I'd be eternally grateful and probably have to get you a gift of some sort. This band was probably just a local band whose purevolume I stumbled across or something tho, odds aren't good

  19. Great I figure if we can get enough people agonizing over it for a few more months we might eventually figure it out lol

I forget and then spend 45 minutes struggling to remember this band’s name every 7-8 years.

And these two are emo/pop-punk/pop rock records that in pretty sure never blipped on anyone’s radar but I feel like are solid.

  24. So unfortunately no it is not. BUT I also haven’t heard this band in quite awhile (more like 5-10 years than 10-15 tho) so this is definitely still a win haha. Wild that this checks basically every box I gave but isn’t the one!
