Can we confirm that the band / management has the ability to opt out?

I'm just saying if i'm Ticketmaster and you HAVE to come to me to play arenas because I'm the 900 lb gorilla alongside Live Nation I sure as shit wouldn't let anyone out of dynamic.

Video should have ended with the giant blink bunny stomping on everything and them having to defeat that bunny instead of just brutally murdering the bunny suit dudes haha. Either way, giant blink bunny needed to be featured more. Only complaint.

has anyone deciphered what — if anything — this song is about lmao

    Things have changed.

Songs don't have to be about anything. There are so many blink songs that are just about nothing at all.

Now I Know This World Isn’t Spinning Just For Me Prestigious

haven’t posted on this site in over a year, I can’t believe I’m coming out of over a year retirement just to come on here and tell you to get over yourself. Ticketmaster/livenation is shit for even coming up with the concept of dynamic pricing, putting that on the band is ridiculous.

I mean Ticketmaster is a shit company but the band also chose to opt in, seems like both can be part of the issue here. One for making Dynamic Pricing a thing and the other for choosing to opt in when they did not have to.

Also face value tickets for three big pop tours this year/last year (Billie, Harry, and Dua) were not as high as these dynamic priced tickets, and those are three of the biggest acts on the planet right now. So people being like “it’s not Blink’s fault”, I dunno, they’re definitely a part of the problem.

  13. I like all my favorite songs on California and Nine more than "Edging" but mannnn, the chorus is lodged in my head and won't leave me alone. The whole song is such an earworm, which is welcome after all the non-fun stuff they released on Neighborhoods and DED.

Yeah you’re right they’re only one of the biggest bands in the world, it’s not like they have any leverage being the sole reason this tour is happening at all.

Am I the only one who prefers California over Nine? Los Angeles and Home Is Such A Lonely Place are better songs than anything on Nine

As far as what the song is "about".... I think it's just written from the perspective of a demon/devil type character. Sort of a metaphor for someone who is a "bad boy"/bad influence/heartbreaker type. I think that's probably as deep as you can look into it lol

Edit: Do not ask me to explain what the name "edging" has to do with the song at all lol. Maybe just generally about temptation? Or it could be just a working title they thought was funny. Who the fuck knows.

Watched the video and finally heard the new song! I am actually pleasantly surprised with how catchy Tom's pre-chorus and overall chorus are. Not sure how well it'll translate in a live setting, but it's definitely itching my blink scratch.

It's not a fast paced song, which I'm used to loving for blink, but I actually quite enjoy it.

The video is pretty great, too, and I can't help but smile when I see those three dudes together. It just feels "right" and I feel like everything about this comes off as super genuine.

My main question is: does this song represent the overall tone/theme of the album? Or can we expect a conglomerate of songs similar to Neighborhoods? I also feel like Nine had a nice blend of tones and ranges within (Happy Days vs. Black Rain).

From what Jason has said, I would expect this to be similar to BIOMY. A simple, catchy song without much to it but not representative of the range of the rest of the music. I'll be curious to see what direction they take with it though.

  25. i'd take bored to death, she's out of her mind, cynical, left alone, san diego, sober, rabbit hole, the only thing that matters over those 2 songs, for sure. i do like los angeles though.

but i'd also take the majority of nine over a lot of the california songs too.
