It is weird seeing Travis with a DW kit rather than his usual OCDP branded ones. I did find it strange that he would keep that up even though the company went under. Looking forward to the video.

At work and just listened to the new song and I had a big smile on my face while I read the lyrics on screen the whole time I was listening to it. Good thing the office is very empty today.

It’s a good classic blink song, but just being able to hear a new blink song with Tom on it makes it seem incredible

  3. Took a listen and I'm into it even though I think it's just mid. I'm usually not a fan of the shuffle beat when used in this genre so I'd take a good chunk of their 2011 - present material over this, but I'm happy to hear them split vocals in this way again. The vocal interplay hits all the nostalgia spots at least.

Yeah I think of the New Music Mic as more of Discover Weekly. Now the Listen Now tab has been pretty reliable for me - Edging is the first recc and then “New Releases” further down is filled with albums from pretty relevant artists based off my recent listening / what I’ve added- Blink, Sad Alex. Last week it alerted me to new Amy Shark, Andrew McMahon.

But definitely more of an album approach vs playlist.

i think what’s funny about these shows is that they may have originally sold well but i can’t imagine they still are. there seems to be a misconception that the presale is “sold out,” when that’s not the case. the problem is everything is marked as a “platinum seat” which just jacks up the price.

interesting to think that the band would have allowed this to happen in the first place, let alone if they could step in now after the fact and tell TM to cut it off. this would 1) help their fans and 2) push their shows to sell out.

because with TM raising the prices, appears that there are plenty of tickets left via presale at almost every venue. no one in their right mind is paying $800+ to see blink-182 in the freaking pit. you gotta think they’re praying TM drops the prices right?

Imagine seeing how outrageous ticket prices for concerts are post-covid and not wanting in on that. Blink are just capitalizing on an opportunity.

I can't speak for other cities but Toronto in particular looks sold minus a handful of platinums for both shows.

I'm hopeful closer to May I'll be able to snag something from a desperate reseller. Seen them a bunch of times so wouldn't be a big deal if I missed this tour.

but are they really capitalizing? from what i can tell (the handful of dates we have been trying for), these shows aren’t selling out. i understand *wanting* capitalizing on prices, but the prices are so high it seems to be backfiring.

every time i check either chicago date for example, there’s tons of platinum seats left because they are outrageous. both dates have pit tickets over $800/ticket and just no one is going to buy them at that price lol

    Things have changed.

My show has like, 20 tickets left after all these presales have come and gone. Yes, they're all platinum, tickets, but the demand here is tremendous.

if the only tickets left are platinum and there’s only like 50 in the venue, I’d say it’s sold out lol

Beating a dead horse with the ticket price discussion, but just thinking out loud here... Man do I wish there were some sort of promotions going on with all of these vinyl pre-orders or SOMETHING that could cut down the cost of these tickets for this tour. Like if you pre-order, you would get a personalized code for a discounted ticket or some shit.

I just tried to look up venues even remotely doable for me. For Dallas, being close-ish to the side stage but in the very top section was still $1,500 before fees for two tickets. Like, at this point, I could use that money for a vacation to Hawaii or something instead of shitty seats at ONE concert.

Someone educate me or point me in the right direction.

The band new about dynamic ticket pricing and didn’t opt out of it? How does that work exactly?
